I'm fairly new to gaming. I've only been playing for a few years, and about four games. Druids scare me. I have yet to get up the nerve to try to play one. I'm currently having fun trying my hand at playing a paladin, although playing a good character is a little tough. I've had the most fun playing neutral characters who have a little more freedom when it comes to good and evil.

I believe druid's frighten you because they're always trying that pathetic 'mistletoe over your head' scheme to cop a cheap kiss. Don't fall for it. They smell like the monkey cage on a hot day.

Tell me about it. "Animal magnetism," my ass.

I was under the impression that some wolves.... oh, right, I see; you want all the druids to yourself. ;)

You got me. I'm a furry slut for druids and you beeches (the trees, of course) can't have 'em!

I'm not new to the boards, but I've been down in the 4th edition board (its the 662nd layer of the Paizo message boards, right above Zionyn, so I'm not surprised if you haven't seen it) and as a result I haven't been around the Pathfinder parts of the site for a long while.

So, to those that don't know me: hello!

To those that I haven't seen in a long while: hello again!

I can see that you're a Chelaxian (or at least you proclaim allegiance to them by your faction symbol), but do you actually need to spend so much time 'carrying out missionary work' down there? :D

Wolves and Druids had better watch their backs if they decide to try anything with Phouka.

Hi there!
Been lurking, but the I really like the message boards, so here goes...
It's late afternoon here in Copenhagen, sunny, for a change and I'll be heading home to make the final preparations for this weekend's highlight - the beginning of ROTL!one question: where do you guys find the cool little pictures, that are next to your names? (yes, I want one myself!)

A

Andreas Pihl? You wouldn't be the comic book writer?

Go check "my account" on top of the page for avatar images and other info you might want for your profile...

click the "my account" link at the top of the page, then "Click here to change your settings" under "Messageboard Settings". then just cycle through the pages and pick the one you like by clicking on it.

Thanks guys (both of you)!

that's right, though I do more editing than writing these days

I started playing rpg's (pen and paper) back in 1983-4. first buy was the old red box, you know, Larry Elmore cover with a warrior and red dragon? Then on to AD&D, Warhammer Roleplay and a LOT of GURPS. My son reintroduced me to D&D 3.5 and now we're playtesting PF BETA, starting this sunday! I'm DM'ing two groups; one's made up of teenagers (my son and his friends), the other is more a veteran thing, all 40+

Ah, hope you do some writing still...while not exactly Don Rosa or William van Horn, your scripts do have name recognition among the fans :)

Anyway, welcome to the boards!

To add to what Magdelena and kessukoofah said, if you use the word smurf in a post, you are rewarded with a randomly selected smurf avatar for that post. People have generelly messed around with this (and other smurf related silliness) down on *The great Smurf experiment* thread in the off-topic section of the boards.

Further Edit:
And it's best to prepare lengthy posts on something such as notepad or MSWord, and copy/paste them via the clipboard (assuming your PC uses one) since the messageboards have a habit of occasionally 'eating' long posts if you try to write them on the spot (something to do with timing out).
