All of you have has a night of rest since Batman patroled the city last night, but at 5:15 a.m. Batman calls you to your communicators and says:
"Good morning comrades, I apologize for interrupt your well deserved rest, but major problems make me summon the team at the headquarter as soon as possbile. A major menace has come to New Proverbial".

Pong |

"Right Chief, I'm on the way."
BoBo puts down the foot-massager he was repairing for Mrs. Garrison. The single mother worked long hours at the corner diner, and the broken unit he had found would certainly be appreciated, especially if she never learned who left it on her doorstep. He'd finish later, but now the Batman needed Pong.
In the closet by the stairs leading to the roof hung his costume, kept there so he could change on the way. Once on the roof, Pong could assume his ball form before leaping off and rebounding across the city.
Yoiks, and away!

"Understood en route," Skater promptly replied putting away the last of his textbooks.
A month before the restart of school the previous summer had been quite a whirlwind with him only being released from custody just in time for the May cram studies for the June exams. He had spent a month in summer school as a result and was only just getting back in shape for the autumn school opening.
Getting up he scooped up his rucksack and grabbing a small pouch of aluminimum ball bearings he crammed them into one pocket of his trenchcoat before tucking his skateboard under his arm and carefully and quietly using his power to open and allow him to maneuver through the open window and onto the fire escape beyond.
Using his poweer to shut his bedroom window and lock it, he used his ability to quietly levitate to the roof using one hand to keep contact with the wall he quickly moved across the roof to the nearest washing line and magnetising his skateboard he used the washing line to travel across the rooftops being careful to keep to the shadows and avoid attention.
Once he was near enough he descended somewhere close to the base making sure he wasn't followed before he reached the nearest disguised opening.
"Reporting in," Skater muttered under his breath using his password.
(OOC: Am assuming we have to report to base unless we have to wait to receive a communication regarding the matter.)

Patricio Calderón |

Skater reaches the end of the road inside the elevator and when the door opens Batman and Pong are already sat around the meeting table.
As Skater approaches to the table Batman greets him:
"I am afraid I can't say good morning since it is not, however it is nice to see you Skater. Sit with us, the rest will be arriving in a few minutes".

Johnny Illuminati |

Jon nearly fell backward out of his chair when his communicator sounded. He had fallen asleep sitting up while pouring over documents he had gathered corollating the occourrance of abductions to appearance of crop circles for an article he was putting together for 'The Puppet Master.'
"Yeah... Yeah, I'm en route."
He quickly changes into his costume and, using his Dark Disks, streaks toward the hideout.

"Hi boss, Pong," Skater replies nodding to Pong before taking a seat and using the spare time takes out a couple of english textbooks and begins to read through them before takking out a couple of spare notebooks and pens to make the occasional note leaving one of the notebooks separate for later use.
Skater glances up after a couple of minutes to look at Pong.
"Has he said anything? Was there something on the radio or news that I missed?" he asks the hero.

"You know the Chief- Never uses an extra word. He'll tell us what we need to know when he's ready. But I didn't hear anything on the police scanners."

Mechimera |

How far away do you usually park?
Mechimera has no effective secret identity. Since Batman wants to keep our base's location a secret, I'm guessing that Mechimera has to enter some other building, maneuver through a secret panel somewhere, and take a fast subway car to our headquarters.
So I "park" in the lot near that other building. But at Feeble Endurance, it would still take a long time for the character to move his body from one place to another.
(I'm imagining that when Mechimera moves, he looks like a giant mechanical octopus crawling over terrain.

Skater pauses noticing Pong's reaction.
Moving slightly to the other side of the table he glances over his shoulder as what he assumes is Mechimera's current host body starts to crawl past faster.Skater almost shakes his head as he remembers the first time they met and the discovery that his powers detrimental effect on the cyborg.
Starting to put his textbooks away Skater pauses only to nod at the passing Mechimera.
"Any sign of Johnny?" he asks Mechimera.

Johnny Illuminati |

The doors slide open and Johnny's voice preceeds him through the clinging shadows of the corridor beyond.
"I'm here. Sorry, I was working on a story halfway across town. I got here as soon as I could. Mech, Skate, Pong, how's it goin', guys?"
He slides into the room a foot above the ground, two Dark Disks under his feet propelling him. As he moves to his seat he removes his goggles and pulls the cowl down from his mouth and nose so his voice isn't muffled. Although Johnny's identity is secret, he doesn't hide it from his teammates. Also, his 'cape persona' is more informal than his 'day job' persona.
"What's the emergency, Bats?"
Has Batman disclosed his identity to us, or do we just know him as the Bat?

Patricio Calderón |

Batman starts:
"As you know tomorrow will be inaugurated the new offices of the NPPD at the south zone of the city to serve a place that has been plagued by crime in the last 5 years. I don't know how but someone found the way to find me and left this paper sticked to the Bat-movile".
Batman shows the sheet of paper to the group. It says with cut and glued letters:
"The new offices will blow to the skies, better take them from here".
I assume those are the offices will probably suffer a terrorist attack. This note was done by a professional, no fingerprints, no DNA traces, the glue used can be adquired in any stationary and the newspaper used according to a computer analysis caught a letter from a different edition of the Daily Earth. The only clue we have is this guy reads the Daily Earth or at least bought one edition for 54 consecutive days ending yesterday.
First option: We take the case to the NPPD so they use their resources and prevent any possible attack.
Second option: We conserve the information and start surveillance and investigation to prevent any possible attack.
No way to work along the NPPD. So we must decide, we are five so this will be a democracy, ...for now.

"Who stands to benefit if the NPPD don't move in?" Skater asks.
"Sorry I mean who do you know of that would be able to track down your batmobile just so they could leave that note and would have a reason to target the NPPD?" Skater corrects himself.(OOC: Does Bats have his rogue gallery ala the Riddler and co?)

Patricio Calderón |

I prefer not to use Batman's rogue gallery since those guys can never be kept in prison, jails and asylums in New Proverbial are as the real ones, that is, little possibility to escape. However I was thinking a rule that every captured metahuman has an accumulative 1% to escape for every week he is in prison up to a 12% to be checked every week
Batman says:
"Every thug, criminal and maniac of the south zone is benefited with this move. Moreover it is not so difficult to find my batmovile by chance if you walk for a dangerous area at a dangerous hour".

Mechimera |

"Moreover it is not so difficult to find my batmobile by chance if you walk in a dangerous area at a dangerous hour".
<Per-haps not,> replies a tinny voice through Mechimera's speakers, <but this was no chance en-coun-ter. Our man came pre-pared.>
<I am puz-zled. Why send the note? Why tell us? Per-haps this is a feint. Per-haps we set-tle in and pro-tect this tar-get, while the ac-tu-al crime takes place on the o-ther side of the ci-ty, with us safe-ly out of the way.>

Pong |

"Can we ignore either option? If we expect a terrorist attack, can we not involve the PD? And we have to do all we can, as well."
"I would say we need to give whatever warning we can and we need to act to protect the public by trying to stop this attack."
"The Sargent at the police station in my neighborhood has listened to me in the past. If we've gotten all we can from the note, I could take it to him and pass on the warning. If the opening ceremony can be delayed, we would have more time to track down the attacker. Even if it can't be delayed, the extra caution the PD would use could save lives."
"If the only clue is the note and who it was delivered to, what does that tell us? The letters on the note indicate the sender has been in the area for at least 2 months or has access to someplace that does, like a library. The note being given to Batman suggests he (and us) are being singled out by the attacker. Since our known concern is metahuman crime, does that suggest anyone in particular?"
"The note says 'blown to the skies'. That might mean powers or explosives or even some form of missile. We should be on site to deal with a metahuman or rocket attack. Can we do a search of the area to locate hidden explosives? Mechimera, are your drones capable of that kind of search? Or do we have access to some sort of sensor to do the job?"
"Mech's feint idea is also a possibility. Since the note was to us, what does it direct our attention away from? Is there something in particular we would being doing today that this stops us from doing? Or something today going on today that would be a target we would ignore while we deal with a terrorist attack?"
"I say we start by warning the PD of a possible attack.
Investigate the note by looking into the source of the letters. Were they taken from a library stash of papers? Or does the compulsive one-letter-per-day indicate a particular villian or group? (after all, it would have been just as anonymous had all the letters been taken from yesterday's paper)
Search the target area for explosives.
Be aware of other possible targets.
And be on hand to deal with whatever attack might occur."

Johnny Illuminati |

"I'm prone to believing it's real. If someone is leaving a note without any hints as to identity, I would wager it is someone who wants to challenge us. He or she feels like they have to go head to head with us and win for the victory to be worthwhile. If they just blew up the building, it would achive a goal, but it wouldn't be satisfying."
"I can get over to the site immediately and can start staking the place out. I can Shadowcast a shade to start searching the building."
As he speaks, Johnny closes his eyes and a the shadows in one corner reform into the shape of a bloodhound...2-dimentional and with only the vaguest hints of features, but standing independently in the corner. It puts it's nose to the ground and starts sniffing.
"I can see and hear through my shades, so add that to Mechimera's Somnifactors, we can start assessing for extant threats."

hopeless |

<If we be-lieve the threat is cred-i-ble, I vote with Pong: we must no-ti-fy the po-lice. If we keep this se-cret, and dis-as-ter strikes, we would be com-pli-cent in count-less deaths.>
<I re-main sus-pi-cious, how-ev-er. Do we have a-ny rea-son to sus-pect the threat is le-gi-ti-mate?>
"No offence but if it was me I'd have arranged to get access to the site whilst it was being built and modify the foundation blocks to hold enough explosives and a means to activate them so when they go off they collapse the entire building, unless we're dealing with a powered foe or foes it would make any effort on our part worthless," Skater mutters concentrating on the task at hand.
"However what if the destruction would also cover up their actual target remember wouldn't this new pd include a means to detect burglar alarms thoughout the city?" Skater elaborated.
"I think its for real, what we don't know is what else is going on, dowe split into two teams one to investigate the thrreatened building and the other as a backup in case this is a feint?" Skater asked.

hopeless |

Mechimera's faceplate swivels around. <Ex-cel-lent, John-ny! E-ven if the threat is a ruse, it pays to be pru-dent.>
<Will your sha-dows be a-ble to move a-bout un-seen by all the po-lice who are a-bout their new head-quar-ters?>
"Do we have access to the schematics for the new building?" Skater asks.
"Sky high?" Skater mutters to himself."Does that mean an aerial based attack or just to emphasise its going to be blown up?" Skater frowns.
"Who built the new building?" Skater asks.

hopeless |

Skater pauses at this point to look at Batman.
"Perhaps you should consider as a future modification to the batmobile some kind of surveillance device so this kind of bravado can be used against a future foe?" he points out.
"Who are the main crime families of the south of the city? Is there any notable foes who might be involved with these cartels?" he asks.

Johnny Illuminati |

Johnny shrugs "I can deepen or dim the shadows around, so it will be easier to hide it."
A small smile spreads across his face and he winks at Mechimera. "Granted, it will be even easier if we cut the power to the building so that it's only got the emergency lights on. Lots of shadows to skulk about in then. Bats, any way we can get a schematic of the building that shows us where the circut breakers or electrical feeds are?"

Patricio Calderón |

Batman:
"I think we have a plan here. Mechimera stay here and use the computers system to access everything you can get about the new building, what is inside, what is out, surveillance cameras, list of fired people from the project that could be suspects, FedEx or DHL envelopes sent to the address, everything that could be useful, you will know what to use and what to discard. And talk to the police in the process, make a female voice".
Mechimera says what is looking for and rolls, he can reroll for a failed one every 5 minutes with an accumulative +1 CS, if you success I tell you what you found
"Johnny go to the building and trace it inch by inch fast and clean".
"Pong and Skater come with me. Tatto will receive a visit from us".
Tatto is a "Kingpinesque" criminal, the typical one that puts his hands on every ilicit business he can but no one can prove he did it. He is the king of the south zone and nothing happens without he knows

Pong |

"You got it, Chief. I'm right with you."
I go off to work and yall start rolling- Neat!
"I think you're right about this being a challenge to us. But we can't allow the police officers and staff be threatened- heroes like them deserve our protection."
"Mechimera, if 'sky high' and 'blown up' are a clue to the powers we will encounter, there might have been some oddities in the recent weather caused by someone with wind or weather abilities."
"So Chief, does this mean we get to ride in the Batmobile?"

Johnny Illuminati |

Johnny nods to the Batman "I'm on my way. I'll land on the roof and send a shade down from there. This early in the morning it will still be dim and there will be a lot of shadows for me to use as the sun rises. If I don't find anything and it gets close to detonation time, I'll relocate across the street. Keep comms open and good hunting to us all."
Johnny rises out of his chair on his Dark Disks, his shady hound melting away as he leaves. Once clear of the hideout, he rises into the morning air and streaks through the dawning sky. At about 120 mph, he should be able to be at the police station in a matter of minutes.

Mechimera |

Mechimera stay here and use the computers system to access everything you can get about the new building, what is inside, what is out, surveillance cameras, list of fired people from the project that could be suspects, FedEx or DHL envelopes sent to the address, everything that could be useful, you will know what to use and what to discard. And talk to the police in the process, make a female voice".Mechimera says what is looking for and rolls, he can reroll for a failed one every 5 minutes with an accumulative +1 CS, if you success I tell you what you found
Hmmm. Batman must think I have some sort of computer programming skills. I pull my way over to the system's computers and start trying to hack my way into remote systems.
We'll start with something simple. Mechimera creates a new IP address and sends the police an email message: "Batman received an anonymous note threatening to blow up the new station-house. We're investigating, but we recommend you be on alert."
Let's try tapping into the security cameras. Mechimera needs to make a Red Reasoning FEAT. (because he doesn't have a password; he needs a 98 or better to start with). After a half hour, Mechimera has had no success. A second half-hour later, still nothing. (With +11 CS, Mechimera can now hack into the surveilance cameras on a roll of 76 or better. He's just not having any luck!
So he disobeys Batman, and creates a handful of tiny Somnifactor robots to skitter off to the station-house and sniff out any explosives. (Roll for duration: Two of the fall apart immediately, one lasts for 1000 turns, and the other two last for 10,000 turns.) They'll have Good speed, Good Environmental Awareness, and Poor Penetrating Vision. This little mechanical team costs Mechimera 50 Health, which will return the next morning.
Rather than continue to bang his "head" against the security cameras any more, he attempts to hack into the Police Department personnel files. It takes a full hour, but he manages to break in. He spends the next half-hour reviewing personnal files.
Mechimera guesses that there wouldn't be any explosives sent via mail. The packages would have had to have been delivered yesterday, and this threat came from somebody too clever to take the chance that the explosives might be opened and detonated prematurely.
It's now 8:30. Have the Somnifactors found anything? Have the police responded to the anonymous email?

Patricio Calderón |

It is 8:30 for Mechimera, for the rest of the heroes it is about 6:00, Mechimera's questions will be answered on time. Till that moment the rest of the group will execute their actions.
Johnny tell me what are you going to do and your rolls.
Batman and the rest of the heroes have just arrived to the place at 6:20 a.m., the traffic is not so dense so the Batmobile could go faster.
Batman stays sitting down for a few seconds, pushing buttons and moving switches. Later talks:
"Pong you can with me. Skater go to the top of the building* stay near just in case you be needed...by the way look after the batmobile...just in case".
The heroes gets out of the vehicle and it closes automatically. Batman talks to Pong:
"Pong take us as near as you can of the fifth floor.
*The building is a 5 story one plus terrace.

Is the building smooth sided or are there tiered levels? Since my powers only allow me to reach 16 yards and my strength is only Good, I'm not really able to stretch up five stories and lift Batman up. But if the building is tiered (meaning each story is smaller than the one below, like a wedding cake) I can stretch up one or two levels at a time and let him climb me like a rope.
Otherwise I can replicate an Incredible level trampoline or slingshot using my Bouncing power. This would seem to require a Feat roll, so here goes: Bouncing (Inc 36)1d100=57 This would appear to a green result.
As I can easily move myself up by bouncing (it's my low strength that prevents me from carrying Bats), I could move up and lower a bat-cable. For a strenth of Good to lift between 200 and 400 pounds seems to require a Yellow Feat, so here goes:1d100=80
Does any of this work? I did mention this was my first Marvel game so I'm a little unsure of how this works.
Edit: Or we could catch a ride with Skater. He went to the roof (of a five story building) and we're headed to the fifth floor.

Patricio Calderón |

You are making a great job imagining a way to achieve an task and that is enough to me so Pong has succeeded at least to take him to the place. Batman is in the place too since scaling buildings is part of his bag of tricks, we assume Batman used one of his gadgets to propulse himself helping Pong to not lift all his weight.
Batman:
"Sorry Pong, I think I am too weight to you to lift me, but that is OK, I just was lazy to use the Bat-cord". Says the heroe while makes something Pong deciphers as a smile (something very rare on Batman).

Pong |

A smile from Batman is more than I dreamed of getting.
Us rubber guys are supposed to be goofy/funny- it's part of the power set. (The only cure is super intelligence.) A friend of mine was telling me that Plastic Man had a back story in the Justice League where he would try to see Wonder Woman naked by sneaking into her quarters and being a bath towel or nightgown. I'm not planning on going that far, but it looks like I'll be reinforcing the stereotype.

Johnny Illuminati |

Johnny lands gently on the rooftop of the newly finished police station and, scanning around sees a chain-link fence enclosure housing a large number of humming machines. He moves close to the fence and feels his arm hairs raise minutely in the charged air.
"It will cost a lot less to repair some transformers than it will to rebuild the whole police station..." the young hero says as he closes his eyes and looks into his mind. There is a slight flutter from scar in the middle of his forehead and it seems to open showing a dark hole, assumably straight into Johnny's brain. A darkness, black as pitch and cold as remorse starts to form in the air before him, seeming to seep from out of the hole. The darkness assumes the rough form of a giant fist. It streaks up into the air and then slams back down on the other side of the chain-link, crashing into the machinery enclosed. (rolled 76) Yellow FEAT result using Darkforce Manipulation - Blunt Attack at Remarkable.
Hopeing that that took care of some, if not all electronics inside, Johnny heads over to the rooftop access door. He reaches into the shadows created by the rising sun and starts to form a man-shaped figure out of the darkness. (rolled 17) White FEAT result using Shadowshaping at Excellent The figure starts to step forward, but suddenly the sun peeks up over the rooftops hitting Johnny on the side of the face. Not intense enough to harm him, it is still distracting and the figure bubbles away into shadow like a sliver of ice being tossed into a hot cast iron skillet.
Moving into the shadow of the rooftop access, Johnny starts shaping again, this time creating the shape of an orangutan out of the umbral substance. (rolled 64) Green FEAT result using Shadowshaping at Excellent The shadowy ape slips through the cracks of the door and starts down into the building. 'Looking' through the construct's vantage point, Johnny directs it down toward the basement level.
I am very far out of practice with the Marvel system, so let me know if I've overstepped anything with my narrative or did anything wrong with my powers. Where do I need to look to find durations for constructions? BTW, I don't have access to invisble castle at work, so I either have to wait until I get home at night to post, or, as I have done here, use Random.org

Patricio Calderón |

As far as I can see you are acting sticking to the rules and making your own, I will give you freedom to act as you wish and narrate as you wish in order to keeping the flavor of the superheroe genre where he uses his capabilities and powers in an creative form to solve problems, however your actions have consecuences and from now on every minute you have an acumulative 1% to be discovered for any of the policemen that are preparing things for the ceremony.

Batman gets to an open window at Tattoo's office, he is at ease since would never expect someone daring to enter by one of their windows, he is still with his sleeping clothes sat in front of his desk and having a whiskey glass. When Batman enters the office it is noticed by Tattoo:
"You again? Don't you have anything to do with your time? Ah! and the lazy bubble came too. Would you like a drink, it is imported.
Batman answers:
"Save your sarcasm Tatoo have a little respect for people who is saving the world form people like you".

"What if I don¡t want answer".
Batman replies:
"I can see you have made remodeling to your office, a fight here with your bodyguards that already are behind that door waiting for an order from you to enter and shot could represent a new rebuilding of this place".
Tattoo sits again, drinks some whiskey and says: "What do you want?"
Batman talks while gives the note to Tattoo:
"Tell me everything about this".
Tattoo looks at the note and says:
"After all that inept could find your car"
Batman:
"What?"

Skater pondered the benefits of transferring magnetic discharges as he spread out a discharge along the rooftop he was standing upon so that anyone crossing over would allow him to sense them even if they approached behind him since they would interrupt the magnetic charge he has spread across the rooftop.
Meanwhile nothing seemed to be happening anywhere near the Batmobile and Skater wondered how Johnny was coping...
