That sucks, dude, I'm sorry to hear that. I've certainly been there before. I had an entire soliloquy planned for a major villain's escape(and potential death at the hands of a treacherous cohort), when my laptop suddenly ran out of juice. For some reason MO didn't save the file properly, so I ended up having to cut the whole thing short.

I don't generally go in for James Bond villain exposition where they explain their nefarious plans and the motivation behind them, but a couple of years back I had the ogre mage villain doing his moustache-twirling take-over-the-world dare-the-fools-to-try-and-stop-him speech which was basically intended to explain why he'd been doing what he'd been doing (daddy never loved him) and point the PCs in the right direction for the rest of that arc of the campaign.
Unfortunately (he couldn't see the PCs but knew where they were hiding) 1 of the PCs was unconscious, 1 was on the far side of a building (so could only just make out that someone was talking but not what was being said), and the rest of the party was under a silence spell.

Yep. I can find the 2 week old skeleton for it but nothing more recent. Which is weird since it's been worked on several times since then. Not on either USB stick, my iPod, my home PC, my work PC, or my home backup drive *puzzled* *grumble*

You didn't change the name or anything, by any chance? Did a list view sorted by date and that jazz?
