The Ranger now gets to add half his Ranger level to his survival check when attempting to track. What does this mean to a first level Ranger? Should we round up, meaning both a 1st and 2nd level Ranger get a +1, a 3rd and 4th level Ranger get to add +2 etc ... OR does this mean the 1st level Ranger does not get to add anything (half of 1 being .5, which gets 'thrown away)
It seems like even a 1st level ranger should be able to get the +1, since otherwise he is no better at tracking than any other class.
Has this been answered, or mentioned yet?
Thanks!

"Unless otherwise noted, when rounding, always round down."
That's always the rule in 3e, and I assume in Pathfinder as well.
The ranger already gets Survival as a class skill, so he's already 15% better at tracking than everyone else except the barbarian and druid. As he levels up, this difference increases, and he pulls ahead of the other wilderness guys as well. No need for a "minimum +1" that I can see.

I was about to post on this subject as I noticed this as well, while adding the Ranger to my automated Character Sheet.
It would be more logical to give the Track (Ex) ability at second level, where it will start to have any effects... !! (and avoid these kind of issues)
