Riots in a group

Curse of the Crimson Throne

I just want to know how you can manage that fact:
one of my PC doesn't feel well in the gard of Korvosa (he's alignment is CG) because he thinks that he has only to respect orders given by Cressida, without understanding the meaning of their different missions and he doesn't agree with their mission (doesn't understand why they arrested Verik, without searching anything in the "World's meat", or arrested Trinia, because tonight we're going to finish "Edge of Anarchy" with "Thousand bones" and so on...
So we told me that he thniks that his PC'll leave the gard (whereas the other are going to stay in).
So how can I manage that, with a group under Cressida's order and one without link with the future mission?
Thanks a lot!

Spoiler:
I'd consider pleading for a bit of time. Ask the player to have his character keep mulling over the problems of being in the guard for a little longer. They'll all be rebels pretty soon and the point will become moot. You've just got to keep him in the guard for Seven Days to the Grave. After that they'll be running for their lives.

The Exchange

Have one of the NPC guards speak with him asking him to "stay in just a we bit longer lad, you know I am up for retirement and I just want things to run smooth a for a bit before I go, and I know you are one of the few that I can count on." Preferably someone he has gotten to know, or if needs be an Uncle that has heretofore not been mentioned.

One idea:

Have him meet with a "friend" who happens to work for some concerned citizens group worried about the state of the nobility and who's controlling the guard and how their orders mesh with a free society. Encourage the PC to be the eyes and ears inside, so when the time comes, they'll know of the guard is corrupt or not. If you want to be extra-fiendish, have this "friend" be connected to the Arkonas...

That's an EXCELLENT IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks!!!!

What I've to said is that I understand my player, because he used to play some adventurer who is free to move everywhere, without boss, but here there's the friendly Cressida who gives orders and moreover, PC didn't make the right seach at the right moment so, they have just little clues about the story and the complexity of the story, so he thinks it's not so intersting to respect what he said to Ileosa.
This evening, I wish to developp all that they didn't make or find (just in a way to interest them a little bit more and of course with the end of the "Edge of Anarchy" I think he's going to be implicated in the story (I wish).

Just one more question: how can I make to ues the function "spoiler" in order to hide some pice of message!
Thanks a lot!

Except instead of using these "{" squiggly brackets use these "[" square ones.

THANKS A LOT!!!!

Spoiler:

That's just a success full roll :-) Thanks a lot!!!!!!! I wish to still have fun with my PC but the idea of given the role of "the man who is the place" to observe the gard of Korvosa, is an idea taht I think I'm gonna use.

If they failed their search, have Cressida's CSI detail go over the place and report the gruesome findings to their boss and to the PCs.
