I saw this before, but can’t find it now that I need it.
What is the time frame between Runelords and Crimson Throne? Do they take place a year apart?
I’m asking because my group is almost done with Runelords and getting ready for the next adventure path. One of the players wants his new character related to his old character in Runelords.

For Pathfinder Society adventures, I believe the world will be aging in roughly "real time." That is, the year on Golarian is always 470x where the year on Earth is 200x.
You could infer then that the APs start at roughly 6-month intervals, or you could just start any given AP on the "current" date analogue. The first few APs all run independent of each other, so there shouldn't be any problems moving them around in time a bit.

HOWEVER: We try to keep interconnections between adventure paths pretty minimal,
A bit off topic...but I think this is a bit of a shame.
I would love the PCs actions in an old adventure path have an impact on a future one.
Just as an example...Look at the old 3.0 WotC adventures:
In The Sunless Citidel the Gulthias tree is said to be a stake that was plunged into a vampire's heart that took root and grew. Chances are the PCs destroy the tree.
In Heart of Nightfang Spire the main villian is Gulthias, a vampire that has been resurected because the stake in his heart was destroyed.
My players loved that.

The difference there is that string of adventures was actually an adventure path. The first of them and pretty primitive in its links. But the kind of interlink you see there (kill the tree, reduce the vampire) does still exist in Pathfinder—but only really in the context of one specific adventure path.
That said, there are easter eggs between them. The assumption here at Paizo is that each adventure path's events play out over 6 months and in order, but that's more for internal consistency than anything else. Some groups are going to blast through an Adventure Path in a month, while others are going to savor them and stretch them out over a period of years or even decades. And what about those who pick up, say, Second Darkness first, play it, then get ahold of Runelords? By keeping inter-Adventure Path links low, that's not a problem—you can play Pathfinder Adventure Paths in any order with little to no worries that something in Adventure Path 5 won't work if your group hasn't played through Adventure Path 2.

I'm still trying to decide if it's possible we can, with weekly sessions, complete an AP in 6 months. We're starting CotCT right before the 6th issue for it comes out, so we'll *hopefully* be done with it at around the 5th-6th issue of Second Darkness.
No idea if it will work out, but here's hoping. The 1-15th level should definitely make it a bit quicker.

HOWEVER: We try to keep interconnections between adventure paths pretty minimal, so that if you do want to run multiple adventure paths, you can have any amount of time you want pass between the adventures.
This is a good thing. Because I have 7 players, I added adventures to the Runelords, including a modified W1 Conquest of Bloodsworn Vale where they met King Arabasti.
By the time we are done, Runelords will have probably taken my players close to 2 years in game time.
