A trifling little rant...

Off-Topic Discussions

I sometimes eat lunch in my cubicle during the week to save a little time and a little gas. While I'm eating, I play internet spades or hearts, at least I try to, but I hardly ever get to finish a game :( Why, you ask? Well, many players will quit if they lose the first hand. That's annoying. Some actually quit before the game even starts because, I assume, they don't like their opening hand. That's really annoying. Others are happy to play while I'm losing, but if they start to lose, then they quit. Few ever bother to say a word before their abrupt exit either. What ever happened to electronic sportsmanship?

That's f~$$ed up.

I'm not being sarcastic, either.

I've been playing online since 1999 and I've never quit because I was owned. I'm sorry dude. People are lame.

Was their ever such a thing?

For card games other than poker (which HAS to be played with people, in person), I like Spider solitaire. The hard level makes an appropriate challenge, and I don't need to worry about people quitting.

Liberty's Edge

i run into the same problems with online pinochle and bridge. people have no honor anymore...

I stopped playing the Internet Checkers for the same reason. No point in it, everyone just quits.
