First off, welcome. I was a big fan of your work as WoTC, especially with the Forgotten Realms stuff.
With ou on board, does that mean we might see some fixes for "Absolutes," such as you ranted about on your own website. I hope so.
Based on your article on Absolutes, I house ruled that an Elemental type (such as Fire Giant) gained only Resistance to their base element (roughly 5 per HD). This meant that a Fireball spell would still affect Fire Giants, at least if Empowered and/or Maximized. Only true elementals were Immune to their base element.
Thanks for the ideas. Look forward to seeing more from you.

It does seem like Paizo is bringing several skilled designers on to help with Pathfinder, which is a Good Thing (tm).
Absolutely make high-level play can be tricky - if it's all about collecting immunities, then it leeches flavor from the game and it's all about all or none. Changing absolutes (like the Pathfinder change to Mind Blank) opens up the balance issues, but keeps the flavor of special attacks around.
