Unzipping files

Website Feedback

Apparently, my Winzip program was only a "trial" and has expired. Since I can't imagine everyone here pays for a license to unzip files, I'm hoping someone can point me to another source.

How do y'all unzip your files?

There's free unzippers around, like camunzip. Haven't tried that one myself, but since it's freeware, it doesn't cost you anything to try.

camunzip

But doesn't winzip work even after the trial period?

I Use WINRAR my version has the more advanced features disabled, and a popup comes up when i first log into it asking me to buy, but it works fine for unzipping

The Exchange

7 Zip is free, and supports a bunch of different formats. Every once in a while, like twice a year, I have an issue with RAR formated files. I highly recommend it, use it weekly, and have it installed on all of my personal computers as well as work computers.
