4E Golarion

4th Edition

Sovereign Court

Who's considering using it as their campaign setting?
What work have you done so far?
Where should shared information be stored?

I'm definitely considering it, as trying to come up with a world for my campaign is starting to appear very daunting to me.

Since many of the setting books are crunch-light, it should be quite easy to run Golarion in 4e. Someone would have to come up with Channel Divinity feats for the different gods, though (not a small task, considering there's 20 gods).

I agree with Evil Genius here. Golarion is supposed to be relatively light on edition specific information. So this should make it pretty easy to convert over.

For the ambitious, converting the APs...that will take a lot of work. ^_^

I just kicked off a related thread in Pathfinder General, though that's specifically about channel divinity powers.

I'm gearing up to run Hollow's Last Hope and Crown of the Kobold King using 4E. It's going to take some work. I'll check out the Pathfinder divinity stuff for sure.

I'm interested in this project. I have no idea where to start, though. Are there any threads discussing the conversion of any of the adventure paths to 4th Edition?

I came up with a deity conversion chart for the PHB for the purposes of the Channel Divinity feats--suggestions and recommendations are welcome!

PHB Deity (Pathfinder equivalent)
Avandra (Cayden Cailean, Desna)
Bahamut (Iomedae)
Corellon (Nethys, Shelyn)
Erathis (Abadar)
Ioun (Irori, Nethys)
Kord (Gorum)
Melora (Gozreh)
Moradin (Torag)
Pelor (Erastil, Sarenrae)
The Raven Queen (Pharasma)
Sehanine (Calistria)

Sehanine (Calistria)

I had a similar list as follows:

Golarion Deity = PHB Deity
Erastil = Moradin or Pelor
Iomedae = Bahamut
Torag = Moradin
Sarenrae = Pelor
Shelyn = Corellon
Desna = Avandra
Cayden Cailean = Avandra
Abadar = Erathis
Irori = Ioun
Gozreh = Melora
Pharasma = Raven Queen
Nethys = Corellon
Gorum = Kord
Calistria = Sehanine

Scarab Sages

Bahamut = Apsu from PF#4

I think I'd have a dragonborn from Golarion worship this deity.

Ah. My conversion doesn't include dragonborn. I'm looking more at recreating Golarion in 4e as opposed to recreating 4e in Golarion--I guess that those are Golarion's two 4e "builds" so we might need a thread for each!

No, a separate thread should not be required. There should be plenty of overlap and each can feed upon the other. Simply use an "IF" statement for any suggestions.

"IF you want to use Dragonborn as a race in Golarian, they could have originally come from XXX and they usually worship XXX."

"IF you want to use the PHB Deities in Golarian you could.."
