My Old Dragon Magazines Came Back to Me!

Off-Topic Discussions

Okay, technically, they aren't my old ones, but this was awesome. I was at the FLGS last night, and one of the owners showed me a box of old Dragon Magazines that someone brought into the store that they wanted to get rid of, but didn't have the heart to throw out.

He told me they were mine for the taking . . . a cursory examination looks like its pretty much most of the issues from #138 to #197.

When my ex wife and I hit a rough patch years ago, I sold all of my RPG stuff, and when I started dating my current wife, I slowly started to rebuild my collection, though much of it was only through PDFs here at Paizo.

This was just amazing, and she was laughing at how giddy I was when I got home and started leafing through them again.

Congrats!

Gratz, KEjr! I can 100% understand. I am on my THIRD D & D collection.

My first collection got "borrowed" by a friend and never returned. This collection had the original D & D books. You know, the white ones with the Chainmail book. I also had the 1st edition Dieties and Demigods with the stuff that was removed in later editions. Plus lots of other stuff. I still miss that footlocker!

My second collection (along with my comic book collection and 8 or 9 boxes of books that I had been collecting for years) was given away when I got married. Needless to say, I wish I still had them. ~shrugs~ Oh well. Life happens and sometimes the results are not good.

That's awesome, I'm always excited to dig stuff like that out of the dusty used bin at some old store.

Heh. Similar thing happened to me. When I was in Idaho, visiting some friends, I found a yard sale. As it turned out, the guy was an old gamer and had a bunch of old Dragons. I'd guess about 55-270. And he was willing to sell them for only 30$. He said that he just wanted to get rid of them.
Score!

And congratulations, KnightErrantJr. It's so great when important things find their way back.

I am fortunate that I have the Dragon Magazine Complilation on CD with the first 250 issues. Then I have the Paizo PDF from 274 to 345.
And I have most the print issues since 3rd edition came out.

I also lost my old collection. I was in the army and I don't even know what happened to it. I do have every Dungoen Magazine in print except #1 and have a PDF of that one. I lost them too... I had to rebuilt these off ebay and other sources. I wish Wizards would let Paizo finish their PDF run of the last year of the magazines. (I figuree if Say it enough times it may just come true).
