Improved CM Feats bonus

Why is the bonus to CMB provided by the Improved CM feats only +2 and not +4 as it is in 3.5e?
I see that +4 is a great boost to the chance of success, but only a +2 bonus and no attacks of opportunity seems to make a too little difference between fighters who have the feat and those who don't.


The only reason I can see is that fighters get so many feats do their need a large bonus.

Really, a bored Fighter could get all them with the high +4 modifiers and it could be considered powerful with the new CMB system (its one stat that affects all these rolls so easier to focus on.)

I'd be fine with +2 once we dropped the 15 DC to a 10 to 12.

As a final note. The reason these feats are considered each worth 1 feat is that the AoO is a risk of him wasting the action. If an AoO hits, the attempt is wasted and so avoiding it is really important.
