I will write ONLY about what bothered me when I went through the rules.
- races : I think that skill bonus should avoid being too specific, like the "halflings get a +2 to perception associated to hearing". It doesn't make the skills as simple as they should be.
I think this should be a straight +2 to perception : easier to use it.
There are a few other examples like this one.
- wizard : I think the 2nd level power of schools is too powerful. A 6th level evoker, beyond his normal spells, can use 3 6th level magic missiles per day !
IMHO, I think this is too much.
One will reply that at 14the level, a wizard doesn't use a lot of magic missiles, however, I still think it's too powerful.
Maybe the 2nd level power should come less frequently (1 at 2nd level, then 1 additional time every 4 or 5 level beyond 2nd).
- cleric : I have not seen whether the 1st level domain powers are usable on himself ?
Although, do clerics lose the power that was associated to domains under the 3.5 rules (ex : protective ward, extended skill list...) ?
Nothing is clearly said about those (from what I have read).
- skills 1 : even if the skill list is shorter now, I still think there should be a little more skill points.
I have 2 suggestions :
1) have a bonus skill point when you take a level in your favored class ;
2) add one skill point to each character class (so that even the dwarf fighter with intelligence 8 can have at least 2 skill points each level).
- skills 2 : it has already been written. What about the number of languages a PC knows when he has a few ranks in linguistics ?
- damage reduction : I think this is much better than it was under 3.5 rules. However, I think that creatures with a "X/magic" should be modified, going back to a "X/+y weapon". I don't think that lots of PCs meet their 1st dragon before finding their 1st magic weapon, as an example.
I may have other comments, but so far...
I think it is a very good job !
(and the final PRPG version should be translated to french : isnt'it great ?)
