CMB - Disarming / Sundering vs weapon specifics

Does Disarming or Sundering with a 2 handed weapon still apply a bonus as it did in 3.5?

What about the flail's or Spike Chain's +2 bonus to Disarm attempts?

Robert

Yes, this is a very good question. Especially for disarm.

Are the disarm modifiers for light/2 handed weapons still the same?

Also, on a related note, does the defender get to apply the bonus to the DC?

This is especially important in regard to 2 handed weapons. As written on p77 Alpha3 it could be argued that the DC is either the same to disarm a 2 handed weapon or that it is effectively 10 higher since you must make the target drop what it is carrying in both hands. Please Clarify this.

Seeing as Equipment should be in Beta, I think this'll be addressed, for sure.
Besides the things you guys mentioned, there's something I thought of as well:

In 3.5/SRD certain weapons get bonuses to (Paizo) Combat Maneuvers, and some simply get a line saying 'you can trip/disarm/etc'. Implicitly, that would mean if a weapon doesn't list that Combat Maneuver, then you can't attempt it (say, a Trip with a Longsword.) The Combat Maneuver section says nothing about this, and by itself you could almost assume that any 'armed' weapon (or unarmed if taking the penalty) can attempt any combat maneuver.

This should be explicitly dealt with in the next release. If all weapons are to be allowed CMs, the item descriptions need to be changed, since specific weapons won't need 'you can trip with this' description (perhaps those weapons could get +2 CMB and the current Trip/Disarm/etc bonus weapons would get +4, given the increased CMB difficulty). It might work to also apply the 2H/Light Weapon modifiers you mentioned to ALL Combat Maneuvers (which would go along with the consolidating spirit of CMB).

And then there's defining what bonuses CM's can take, of course...
(Magic Weapons?, flank?, invisibility?, etc... How would these apply to Feint and Tumble as well?)

The weapons that can specifically trip such as Spiked Chain, Flail, Halberd, Guisarm, Whip - are done with the weapon - providing the tripper the chance to drop his weapon (as opposed to being tripped ) IF he happened to fail his attempt and allowed the target to get his chance to trip him back.

This is not to say that someone with a longsword couldn't perform a trip attempt - it just wasn't being done with the weapon and thus didn't have the option of dropping weapon instead of being tripped himself.

I imagine since being tripped back is still possible (when failing by more than 10), that this is still a valid use of these types of weapons.

What I was hoping to hear from the designers (before BETA was released) was whether or not Sunder/Disarm is affected by weapon size and if flails and such still grant a bonus - knowing before August would be helpful during all the playtesting we're doing.
