In my homegrown spell lists, I've taken what 3.5 had and improved upon it. Once you are familiar with the spell, this becomes a great Cliff Notes version that will help keep players from constantly digging through the PHB in the midst of combat. I understand that most of this is in Jason's hands, but still would recommend that it be included:
Spell Name: Action. Cliff Notes Description. Components. School.
For example:
Cure Light Wounds: Standard. Cure 1d8+1/Lvl (max +5). (VS). Conj.
or
Identify: Standard. Determine properties of a magical item for 1 round/lvl. +10 Appraise. (VSM). Div.
Please?

Alpha has been formated the way it has so that it can present the new rules to us pieces at a time. If it wasn't included, chance are it wasn't changing and didn't need to be in the Alpha.
That said, Beta will be the full set.

That's not what I'm asking. Rather, what I'm asking is a more comprehensive listing of EACH spell in the SPELL LISTS. I know Alpha doesn't contain all the spells, and I know Beta will. I also know that Beta will contain spell lists. What I'm asking for is that the spell lists contain the following: action time, component type(s), and school of magic.

I'm not so worried about the page references. Everything's in alphabetical order to begin with. What I'm seeking is a short-cut that can avoid digging through the tome.
I think this is great. Especially for clerics and druids, who can prepare any spell from the list on any given day. For anyone with a limited spell list, this is less of an issue, except when leveling up, but I certainly see the benefit of this format in the spell lists. I wonder, though, how much extra room this would require in the layout. With the beta and final releases, page count will be a much larger concern than it was with alpha, which were pdf-only documents.
