Leadership feat

I haven't seen this addressed on the boards, but I think that the leadership feat needs some revision. I don't think it necessarily needs to be 100% re-buildt from scratch, but maybe modifying it downward slightly to reduce the cohort level by 1 on average would be a good thing. As it stands, I find that many players take this feat as soon as possible, and with the new feat progression in pathfinder, I think it will get selected more often.

Overall, a feat that gets used often isn't necessarily a bad thing, but in this case, it adds another character to the party, which slows combat down.

Ultimately, it's up to the DM to allow the feat to be taken and how the feat is interpreted. For a gaming group with a small number of players facing an encounter requiring a larger number of PCs, it can be useful having the cohort(s) around, even as cannon fodder. If the feat is disruptive, the DM can simply have the player change the feat to something else either permanently or just for the adventure the party is currently on.
