As we all know, spell points and spountaneous spellcasting makes part of the SRD, so, the Pathfinder crew could work on it.
I´d like to know if there is any possibility that we may find alternative options like this in the Pathfinder book, maybe in the GM´s part of the book.

I played a 1-20 campaign where we used the spell point system, and I think that one of the biggest problems I had with it is that it makes the casters -really- powerful. I mean a massive boost, especially when it comes to using metamagics. The system in the SRD allows them to be added on the fly and makes caster's incredibly diverse.
This fact is really noticeable in prepared casters, but even spontaneous casters seem to be able to be able to cast endlessly throughout the day do to the huge number of points they get. Even casting high level spells seems to take a long time for them to run out. Forget the 15 minute adventuring day, this extends it for a long time.
It wasn't until our wizard started doing things like quickening a spell and casting the other spell that round as a twin spell or something that he started to feel like he was burning through points quickly. And with our other primary caster being a wizard/cleric he had two lists that were both quite impressive.
I think the concept of the spellpoint system is a very neat one, but having seen it played out through that long of a campaign I think it would need a lot of balancing to be actually usable as the core in the system.
