The races and classes board ate my first attempt to say this so;
I'm dissappointed to see that rogues are still the only class with trapfinding. I really think the option should be given to both rangers and bards.
An easy way to then make the rogue still superior at trap disabling is to make disable device a class skill for only the rogue. This gives the rogue a +3 bonus over all other trapfinders bar half-elf who choose disable device and 19th level bards. It gels well with the skills system.
It's a very, very simple change, it doesnt confuse or use new/outlandish rules, and it adds flexibility. Also, hey it helps Harsk and Lem in COTCT, and Lem seems to have been in mind when halflings were given a Charisma bonus instead of Intelligence [one of my few other complaints].
Finally though, the extra trapfinding adds flexibility, even using the Iconics as example, you can now build three parties, using all twelve iconics only once and have a trapfinder in each, so no more compalints about them not being able to handle the traps in an adventure path/module.
Most importantly though, it adds options for people playing the game. And that's the point of Pathfinder RPG isn't it?

Agreed. At the moment, the Rogue is the only class that isn't really expendable when it comes to party composition. Other classes can fill in for a cleric's healing (though not as well), a fighter's damage output, or the arcane spellcasting of a wizard. Once the trap DCs hit 20 though, you either have to have a rogue or take the damage. Trapfinding becomes not so much an ability as a duty.
On the other hand, you don't want just everybody with ranks in perception to be able to find the traps, as the party would never fail to find a trap. Adding trapfinding to perhaps two classes is at least one option, though there may well be others.
