This may seem simple, or just to detailed, but I am still curious what others have done if anything, or if there was an actual intent.
The entry for the Theatre states it has performances THREE weekends a month.
1)Now is this the One day of rest counts as the weekend?
2)Is this the first three weekends of each month?
3)Are they always plays? Or are they ever new talent just performing solo?
I ask because I have a Bard in my group who has mentioned playing at the Theatre, i'm curious to if this would even be allowed by the owner. I don't see why not seeing how she is a "Hero of Sandpoint", but if it is out of the norm then it would also be more of a Event for the Sandpoint.

"A trip to the Sandpoint Theater might have
Cyrdak Drokkus trying to talk the PC with the highest Charisma
into auditioning for his new play. A stop at Savah’s Armory
is greeted with an instantaneous offer of 20% off anything in
stock. Certainly not everyone in Sandpoint wants to be the PCs’
new best friend, but they should feel more than welcome. "

Right that's performing for HIS new play. Not them doing their own thing, their own performance.

If I was Dm with a player like that I would have Cyrdak allow it as an opening show before the main performance.
Maybe limit it to a ten minute slot before the main show (A tad like the old B movies before the main event or a warm up act etc)
EDIT:
Of course to me it would be down to a positively modified diplomacy check to see if the bard would be allowed to perform a "teaser" show. Then if the audiance like what she does then Cyrdak may well ask the lady to perform the full show.

Right or he could "use" the Hero to sell out for his new play as well?
Did your group get involved at all with the Theatre?

Almost! lol
We had a bard pc who saved the town, but he insisted on playing the lead male role in the new play. With a bit of cajolling and pursuasion he got offered a special one night performance as the lead actor (Due in 2 weeks to give him time to learn his lines).
Before the weekend in question though they set of for the Big end baddy... He aint coming back....(Aaaaand cue funeral march!)

I've got something for you : a murder mystery, set during the opera of Tristan and Isolde. You can read about the brainstorming here: http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=225119
I didn't write it up for Sandpoint, but it pretty easily fits. Once my player's done it, I'll post the full write up as a Sandpoint side quest.

Well, the extent of my group's "involvement" was that Aldern Foxglove invited my group's only female character to go see "The Harpy's Curse" with him. She went and had a splendid time...though she was only using him for his money. Go figure...
Although, I guess what goes around comes around...
