James Jacobs offhandedly mentioned serpent folk down in the Four Horsemen thread.
I was wondering if we're talking serpent folk ala "The Shadow Kingdom" by Robert E. Howard. That would be really, really friggin' cool.
Lovecraft's getting plenty of love. I'd like to see Howard get his due. We gamers owe him a lot.

I can't remember the exact name(Something-wall), but there is a secluded fortress of some sort in Varisia with great carvings of serpents constantly spewing poisonous gas into the surrounding area. No one knows who built it or what may be living in it yet.
Yuan-ti aren't OGL are they? As much as I'd like to have them available as an option, it will be cool to see a new serpent race put forth free of that backstory.

That would be Viperwall, and no Yuan-Ti are not OGL. It is a shame since the Yuan-Ti are among my favorite monsters (along with the Slaad, damn you product identity!), but the idea of a serpent-man is hardly new and deserves a place in Golarion.

Also agree. And, after reading through the Freeport stuff, it seems to me that settings civilized serpent folk were modeled after the "Shadow Kingdom" monsters. That's what I liked about them.
