Some Sorcerer Bloodlines should grant bonuses to Natural Armor

New Rules Suggestions

Bloodlines that give melee touch attacks (particularly the dragonic and elemental bloodlines) probably should also grant a natural armor bonus that increases as the sorcerer advances.

The Sorcerer will need to engage in melee to use their bloodline power, it makes sense to also give sorcerers a bump to their melee survivability, especially at lower levels.

When I saw this I immediately thought of the battle sorccer variant, that is OGL, as a great option. I can't help but feel that this variant was in mind when they made some of these blood lines. Check it out if you haven't already.

I am 100% aware of that variant, it's the closest 3.5 SRD based campaigns get to a single class gish.

A NA bonus stacks with an existing Armor bonus, somewhat negating the need for a shield or proficiency with heavier armors.

This also gives a player a bit of lee-way when building their character.
Right now, a player would either need to focus on improving dex, take feats that allow for greater use of armor when casting, using the battle sorcerer variant or spend precious spells known on multiple defensive spells (obviously, a player could employ many of these options.)

A Natural Armor bonus would free up resources, allowing a player to focus on other areas of their character.

Further, it fits with the fluff of the bloodlines, as many of the monsters/creatures the bloodlines are derived from have a Natural Armor bonus.

The Lich is a +4 LA template but the Dread Necromancer gets the apothesis to a Lich at L-20 as a capstone special of the class without having to pay for a phylactery if the PC does not PRC and without the +4 ECL hit to spellcasting.

Since that mechanic has been established in game even if not in core. It opens the door for things like Half Dragon, Half Celestial and Half Fiend or other powerful templates as a possibility for the PF Bloodline Sorcerer.
