I'd like some ideas on how the PC's could be connected to Gaedren Lamm.
We're going to be starting our first session and building characters using the Alpha rules. (I'm running the game using the Alpha rules and no changes to the Adventure Path. Jason requested this in one of the chats.)
I know I have a wizard from the Academy, a rogue, a fighter (most likely) and an unknown. I'm going to ask the players to come up with their own reasons as it will tie into their history.
I'd like a few suggestions to help out. Any ideas?

You hadn't mentioned the Player's Guide to CotCT pages 14 - 16, which offers players five background ties into Graeden, that can be morphed into many more. I'd suggest starting there.

I think because he's been responsible for getting so many people's back's up, you can really let your imagination run riot on this one. One of my PC's best friend was sold dodgy drugs by Lamm and consequently died, so the PC is out to avenge his friends life. The other PC's Mother was mugged and then murdered whist the PC (as a child) looked on.
It's up to the PC's to think of this. Hope this helps!
