Special materials - mithril and adamantine

I'm requesting changes to the mechanics of these two materials.

Mithril armor is simply TOO good. I'd remove the part about it counting as one armor type lighter.

Adamantine is fine for armor, but for a weapon, being able to ignore up to a 20 hardness is very abusable, especially when cutting through doors, walls, iron bars and grates, not to mention sundering. Maybe change this to only count half of the hardness for objects hit with adamantine, as well as bypass DR/adamantine?
