Last I looked, the fighter DOES get DR... so long as they're in armor, which is a distinction from the barbarian which I think should be kept so as to set them apart and make reasons to pick one over the other.
Initially, it was DR 10/- in the first release. I was one of the ones that suggested it drop to 5/-, they did in fact listen to that suggestion.
And as far as doubling the damage bonus for weapon training... sorry, but. Is the power creep already not enough??

They get DR at level 19. That's too little, too late. And the damage bonus would be fine...although that's not the point of this thread.

Just wondering. I'm crossing my fingers and praying for DR for fighters and a +2 damage per weapon training.
I'm 90% sure that this will be considered much more if you phrase it as: "Me and my buddies playtested a 19th-level party last week and the fighter's abilities were still pretty weak. Here's the details: [details omitted]."

I am not really content about all those special abilities for wizards.
I would have rather seen some interestings ways the specialists are doing with their spells rather than exotic and unique powers.
This DOES fit for sorcerers and maybe clerics but not to wizards. My POV.
To the original things:
+2 for weapon training? YES! (= weapon focus + specialization)
Other DR? YES in part. A general DR is not for fighters but incorporating it into armor training might be a good idea.
