How to bring in a blind character?

Curse of the Crimson Throne

Liberty's Edge

I'm starting a CotCT game and one of my PCs is blind. I can deal with this for the most part, but how do I deal with Zellara contacting him? I can't just say "you read the back of the card."

What class is the PC? Or is it the player who is blind?

It's the character. He'll be a Druid.

What's the players plan for dealing with blindness?

I'd guess seeing eye animal companion- which is a very cool idea- and Blind fighting feat until getting a vision capable wild shape.

Spoiler:
Trait: Blind
Through some means Gaedren Lamm has rendered you permanently blind.
You cannot make spot checks or read, get a -4 on search checks (and can only make them on adjacent squares), -2 on sense motive checks, -4 on intimidate checks, cannot make ranged attacks unless you have some other means of sensing the enemy(such as blind-sense or tremor-sense), and all enemies you attack in melee are treated as having total concealment.
You gain +4 on listen checks, +2 on diplomacy checks with good creatures, and +2 on Dex based skills.
You lose these benefits and hindrances if you ever regain your sight.

Also, as a Dream Dwarf, he'll be able to see ethereal creatures and he has a feat allowing him to detect the number of nearby creatures touching the ground.

I'd recommend someone close to him reading the note left by Zellara to him.

I just started the campaign and that's what I went with.

I considered this, but the character was only recently blinded, so he may not yet know brail. Also, have you ever tried to write in brail on a card? That can't be easy.

Liberty's Edge

Zellara is not actually writing the card since she is dead

other options - since the harrow reading is done with a spell, we know she has magic, it could be key'd to the pc's touch

Spoiler:
or since she can cast images with vocal parts, she could bea friendly citizen on the road - i did this in my PBP to prevent one of them to go into her building hours early and force her to keep the more major illusion up for hours
