Barbarian errata.....

Alpha Release 2 General Discussion

Liberty's Edge

On page 11, under Terrifying Howl, it states "a barbarian must have the hunter's cry rage power to select this rage power", yet I don't see a Hunter's Cry rage power or class ability.

The same power also calls itself "Howl of the Wild" in the second to last line.

Sorry to rain on the parade so soon after release, and thanks for all the great work!!

Yup, we changed the name, but missed it in the prerequisites.

On page 11, the Mighty Rage section includes "A barbarian must spend 4 rage points to enter a _greater_ rage, and must expend 4 rage points per round to maintain her rage."

Also just a note, not a complaint, and I'm looking forward to running an Alpha 2 playtest next Monday.

The barbarian doesn't have a Weapon and Armor Proficiency block.

It says at the start "all of the barbarian's normal class features, plus the following"

That said, I think it's a bit confusing. They should just be listed.

I think whomever was doing barbarian was focusing more on the rage pool and rage powers than on getting everything into the book. That said, the other development personel/teams managed that for their classes, with the possible exception of Sorcerers being the only caster class without 'at will' cantrips/orisons.

As for how it balances, I'll wait until I actually see it in playtesting before commenting too much on it.

The Exchange

That is a rather large meat cleaver for a barbarian...I assume the Barbarian gets to craft its own weapons at the cost of the buy from S-Mart option for civilized folk?
