Hi!

I have added spells, possessions, deity, and adjusted ranks to this new alias.
Leliestratt

Great. By the way, if you're posting from your alias, there's no need to put in the link -- I can just click on the alias-name to go to the profile.

Leliestraat wrote:
About the skills, would you like me to list the totals including the individual ranks and appropriate bonuses, or list the sum total of the two on the sheet. I confess, I didn't know which way you wanted me to list it. I am new to this board's pbp systems and I want to be certain that you can find what you need.

All of the above, actually. An example might be:

Spellcraft (INT) 4 rank + 3 = 7

Would I be correct in assuming that we have longing and food, as a result of a profession and living in Korvosa? Or should I be hoarding waterskins and loaves of bread? I still have some gold pieces but didn't want to buy silk rope if I need more that 3 trail rations.

Good question. I don't want to track copper and silver for inn stays and meals, nor do I want to do the bookkeeping (as player or gm) for arrow, food, and water consumption when you're in places where they're easily replenished.

Unless and until y'all go on an extended trip out in the wilderness, or start living extravagantly, don't worry about it.

Leliestraat wrote:
I didn't use the Spell Compendium but I may flip through it tonight. I will list Spells Prepared when we are about to begin, if that is alright.

Actually, we may be starting pretty quickly. For those who prepare spells -- you and Cole -- go ahead and put down the spells you normally prepare for an ordinary day about town (I think Ryan has already done this).

Thanks!

I posted the background sketch, too!

Leliestratt

Background looks fine.

Mechanics (just two things):

Spoiler:
I think you spent 4 too many skill ranks. Should be 2 (Wiz) + 3 (INT) + 2 (houserule) = 7/level * 4 = 28.

I also still only see 31 stat points spent:

Strength 10 (2)
Dexterity 15 (5)
Constitution 11 (5)
Intelligence 16 (10)
Wisdom 12 (4)
Charisma 13 (5)

I was feeling creative, and decided not to wait. The game thread may or may not be open, depending on the post-muncher. I suspect it will show up in a few minutes; if not, I'll repost tomorrow morning.

If you do see it, have at it!

All,

Re: Harrow readings.

When we're using the deck in-game, I see two possible mechanisms. One is you each roll dice when drawing a card, according to a chart in the adventure. But my preference would be for me to just draw cards on your behalf from my (shuffled) physical deck.

Preferences?

The Exchange

To speed things up I'm ok with you drawing on my behalf.

It's nice to know that I'm the only one with a shield ;)

I have a Harrow deck set, and I know I'd want to get the maximum use out of it. So, for me, you drawing on our behalf sounds fine and fun.

Sure, go ahead and draw for me.

Drawing from your own deck works for me too

Drawing for Leliestraat is cool for me!

I've been spelling my own character's name incorrectly! LOL
2 [aa]s, not 2 [tt]
D'oh

Spoiler:
I fixed the Ability Scores, I obviously cannot count. This then affected the Fort save, and hit points. Now I have 5!
I also changed the skills, removed 4 points. I think I misunderstood the House Rule. Sorry.
I added the Spells Prepared and did not add any from Spell Compendium. Haven't had a chance to even crack it.
When I post and I am not "with" the other characters, should I use spoiler tags to hide the text? I think everyone else is so I will, as well.
Cheers!

"Ley-Lah-Strah-T"

It's actually a Dutch word and one of my favorite streets in the entire world.

Let's pretend it's Elven!

No worries on the harrow deck front.

Either Alex is busy (given that this is a weekend), or he may not have seen the game thread, so: game thread

Hey there - yep I saw the main thread. Sorry - long day yesterday. I am working on my update shortly.

No problem. I just would have felt foolish waiting if it were the other!

Too True...

OK - far later than I expected, but I've gotten onto the regular thread. Sorry if you were waiting on me to proceed.

No worries. I won't ordinarily wait terribly long for the sixth response, but this being the first post of the game I didn't want to run over anyone.

Moonglum,

I'm sorry you're frustrated. I'm trying to get everyone in the same place as quickly as I can, but it's in the nature of PBPs that sometimes it takes a few real-time days.

Hang in there, please.

Dude, I wasn't frustrated. I was actually drinking

some strong beer and that was an attempt at humor.
Sorry if it sounded like that. I'll try not to be too casual
in the future.
I know how these thing work and I am cool with it.
I'm content to wait until we come together.

Ah, no worries. The perils of text!

Sovereign Court

By the way, all the human characters should have their ethnicity (probably Chelish) noted in the profiles, if they don't already.

Thanks!

By the way, my latest comment isn't intended to rush you, Pat. I'm just trying to play to Fraz's impulsiveness; no complaint intended. Just to let you know.

Cool, thanks for the note. I just want to be sure everyone has a chance to say their piece.

Just finished a session of my face-to-face Runelords game. If there's no conversation starting up tonight, I'll move things along in the morning.

Sovereign Court

In my ongoing saga of computer problems, Vista (My Very Favorite OS Ever) has suicided. Things may be erratic for a little while, but I'll try to keep things moving.

Reminder: I'm going to be off the internet for a week starting tomorrow. I'll check in again at least once before heading off, probably tomorrow morning.

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

Thanks for the reminder!

Ok, folks. As a result of the Harrowing, you each have two Harrow Points that you can use during the course of the first adventure.

Because the suit chosen was Keys, the points are used for Dexterity-based challenges.

You may spend 1 Harrow Point to:

- Reroll anything based on Dex (Initiative, Reflex, ranged or finessed attacks, skills). If you don't like the second result, you can spend another point to roll again.

- Add +1 Dodge bonus to your AC for one encounter (you can do this twice for +2 in the same encounter).

- Add 10' to your base speed for one encounter (only once per encounter).

Male Human - Chelaxian Ranger 2

Good to know. Nice job on the reading, btw.

It was so good y'all are stunned, right? I can narratively move it along, but I need to know if y'all are going to the fishery tonight, or if you're making any stops.

Male Workaholic, level 10

Have had a hard time getting on all day. Keep getting delays or bumped off the site. I plan on posting tonight.

Longreach, Avalon is the only one who's expressed hesitation. If you get a chance tonight to elaborate, that would be great. I won't move things along before Wed. morning.

Male Elf Wizard 1

I like the spreadsheet, thanks for that, too!

Oh, yeah ...
How do I make the text blue?
Cannot recall.
Thanks!

Ok, thanks for letting me know. You/Avalon, Covaithe/Gawain (who also isn't back yet, as far as I know), and Leliestratt are all giving the other three some time, anyway.

Moonglum, how much time are you going to give them, or are you waiting for noise?

Hi
Just made a post before I saw this ...
Since they are in, I would suggest we move sooner than later.
I figured that we would crash through the front, creating a distraction for the other team, who would then come in to a flanking position (?).
I can wait for the others to return before continuing.
Your call.

Cool. Since it's the weekend anyway, I'm inclined to wait for at least one of them. The others who are in can continue without much time actually passing.

I'm back, but slightly swamped with things to catch up on. I should be up to speed tomorrow.

No worries. My home Internet went out yesterday, and it won't be repaired until Monday, so my posting will be erratic.

Meanwhile:

I asked Paizo about posting maps from the PDFs where you could see them. They said no to that, but that I could e-mail you good maps.

So, survey -- do you want to get Photoshopped quality maps by e-mail, or is the spreadsheet map good enough? We'll go with consensus; I'm not keeping two sets of maps updated!

Male Elf Wizard 1

I'm back!

I am cool with the spreadsheet. Seems to work well for our purposes.

Spreadsheet seems fine to me.

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

Good enough. Spreadsheet maps it is.

Male Workaholic, level 10

Whooo...sorry I've been out of pocket for the last few days. My workload exploded due to some emergencies; I've got a wicked head cold and lost my voice; and my car's transmission just went ka-put! Other than that, feeling fine and I hope to post soon. Sorry if I'm keeping things on hold.

PS - Spreadsheet's fine by me.
