Has anyone had Ameiko brought to Thistletop instead of rescued at GW? What was your experience like?
I have a player who is connected with Ameiko, and is a reluctant hero, so I am thinking ahead towards additional reasons to head to Thistletop.
Thanks.

Yes, my players were too slow getting to the glassworks and so everyone had cleared out. I had her in one of the prison cells, waiting to be sacrificed to Lamashtu.
I also had Tsuto agonizing over that, since while he may not be on the best terms with his sister he also doesn't want to see her killed. I decided that Tsuto was doing everything he could to procure other sacrifices for the services, and that Nualia was letting him get away with that for as long as he could provide. Once the PCs attacked Thistletop and got captured Tsuto arranged for his sister to "escape", and she went out past the tentamort. (One of the players played it out--I thought she was toast but in the end she actually made it out, thanks in large part to the tentamort having blindsense instead of blindsight.)

I almost had Tsutso escape with his sister. I was foiled by the Barbarian using his daily rage to smash through the doors Tsuto had barred as he made a run for it (I never saw a reason for him to face the PCs 4 against 1, so he made a break for it with a couple of goblins, dragging his sister). He had enough of a head start, but was foiled by the ranger's excellent tracking. They caught up to him, and while the cleric and rogue called out for a parley, the ranger and barbarian snuck past him. After they conned him into releasing his sister to them, the ranger earned a buttload of wrath points by betraying Tsuto and firing upon him. The barbarain cleaned house and they ended up capturing him.
He's sitting nice and cozy in his cell now.

Yes, my players didn't pursue Tsuto when he attacked in the GW with the goblins. He snuck Ameiko out through the smugglers tunnels to the beach and took her back to Thistletop. I ended up putting her in room D9. She was there nearly a week before they finally discovered her. It became a good way to detail some of the sacrifice rituals taking place nearby as Nualia and Tsuto argued about using her in one.
After my players rescued her they armed her and she followed them through the rest of the dungeon. They were impressed with her competence during a few battles and she is now a goto person for them when they need information.
