While feedback would be nice, it would be hard to tell anything at this point until I see the material for myself. I'm sure there will be "haters" who report that the whole thing is designed to cause cancer in babies and there will be "fanbois" who claim it will cure cancer and we'll never grow old and never die. :)
That said, though, I am still looking forward to the reports that come back from DDX (or whatever fancy short form they use for this event).
Oh, and I'm not going, to answer your question I guess. :)

YES. Turin the Mad and myself will both be going. The 'convention' is about 5 miles outside of Washington D.C. (in Virginia), and Turin and I both live within about a 25-30 minute drive from the location. It is a 4-day affair, and I may only be there on Friday and Saturday. I haven't heard from Turin if he's doing the full Thursday from Sunday. We'll have a report on the happenings, and with any luck, we might run into some of the Paizo posters, particularly those who we've conversed on our respective campaign journal threads.

For those of you in attendance can we get your honest opinion on 4E upon your return. I'm serious. Lots of folks are planning for the worse but I want to hear it all. Various opinions.
Would you do that for the ol' Jib?
From what I've heard (EnWorld), folks will be able to take their characters sheets away from the table with them, so you'll get to see a bunch of 1st level characters after the show. I'm signed up to play in one of the previews the first slot of the show, but I'm judging the next few slots, so I might not get to post for a while afterwards.

Sir Allen,
I do believe this is part of a convention - which means we'll have to spend perfectly good money to get in the door and then pray mightily we roll nat-20's to belly up to a demo table...
If anyone knows better, PLEASE correct me. I don't mind slumming in Crystal City with the dregs of Arlington just kidding - it's not SE DC but I do mind doing so if I gotta pay to get in the door to find out something I can wait a few months longer to find out what I want to know about anyway.

C'MON Turin, there'll be a lot of people to meet if nothing else. I'll drive into town, if you'll be at my place by 7AM. The games start at 8AM.

My best understanding from the conference management website (sorry, don't have the link handy) is there is no door charge; rather a charge to participate in different events. The site enabled reservations for different games (at $6 each for D&D blocks), but I rather suspect the tables for 4E/LFR are all booked by now.

I guess what I'm asking is if you plan to go and can honestly appraise the new edition (I understand sitting the fence but if you plan to either love it sight unseen or hate it to be cool there is no need. If you have not made up your mind PLEASE SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS after enjoying the Experience)I would love to read about your experience right on this thread, Your open minded review would be welcomed by yours truly. I would love to see this edition looked at by someone who has played 1st or 2nd edition!
Thanks!
