Over here in the Casting Karzoug thread, I called upon you to not just say who you think should play Karzoug in a Pathfinder movie, but show us.
I went ahead and arranged a photoshooting with Michael Douglas, who happily donned the robes of Xin-Shalast, hammered some ioun stones into his forhead, and posed for the camera.
Let me think what you know. Or vice versa, and don't be shy with your takes on Karzoug.

HA! Awesome.
He DOES look a little too happy and nice, though.
Thanks.
Anyway, while I concede on the happy part, I'm not sure about the nice. He just has the perfect face for the kind of smile that makes you uneasy, thinking about what he's so pleased about and dreading to find out.
I'll have to check out Curse of the Golden Flower. (What's with all the curses of coloured things? Golden Flower, Black Pearl, Crimson Throne - it seems that as soon as the colour becomes part of the name, someone curses the heck out of it.)

No time for PS right now, but I think the great Ciaran Hinds is a lock on Karzoug.
You know him from Rome as Julius Caesar- the man can radiate power.

Dammit, I have better things to be spending my Sunday afternoons doing...
failed Will save...
My version of Karzoug.
I'll get you back for this some day.
EDIT: Darn, the resolution made him look a bit blurry. Ah well, maybe next adventure path.
EDIT AGAIN: Noooooo!!! Failed my Will save again!

For Chinese titles: it's a result of titling traditions in Chinese, and it's not always colours, but rather (in Chinese) a catchy three or four word phrase.

My choice is a little bit cliché, I'll grant you, and I am limited to using Paint... but I simply could not resist.
Yeah, I can totally see that. Also a great villain face. Actually, a lot more fitting than Michael Douglas. (This reminds me of the picture I did with Elrond wearing glasses, saying "Bring forth the Ring...Mister Baggins.")

See you in Pandemonium! ;-P

My theory: Sight is the most important sense to most humans. We're very visual creatures. Therefore, color packs a strong punch, and incorperating it into a title helps to make that title memorable.
"Curse of the Crimson Throne" is also somewhat inspired by the title of "Curse of the Golden Flower" as well. If we keep this up, I can only assume that in "Second Darknes" we'll have bad-ass sickle-fighting ninja.

If we were going purely for voice acting, I'd vote for David Warner.
If I was going to pick an actor to portray him in a live action film, I might choose Jeremy Irons, though I think that Alan Rickman looks a lot more like Karzoug, not to mention he has the kind of voice I imagine the Runelord of Greed would have.
