Well, I'll be starting RoTR very soon (thanks for the True20 conversion), and one of my players wants to play a priest of Sarenrae. At first glance I decided that he was originally from Magnimar, but after a reading of the entry in PF#2, there wasn't a mention of it.
So were are the main temples for the Dawnflower in Varisia?

I put a small temple of Sarenrae in Magnimar, running a sickhouse in the Lower City. They turned out to be important allies for the PCs in #2. I have no clue where the official temples are supposed to be, sorry!
I developed two characters for this arc:
Jericho is a half-orc paladin (or fighter/priest if that fits better) who is an immensely decent person, but was raised on the streets and approaches things in a very direct, rough-and-ready fashion that causes occasional conflict with his church. He is currently investigating rumors of murders in Underbridge. He could be 6th or 7th level as needed.
Karivale, the High Priestess, is an aasimar who looks eerily like the statues of Sarenrae. She is involved in high-level politics and can't give the street as much attention as she'd like, so she lets Jericho have his way much of the time. There are rumors that Karivale is pregnant by an angel, which she will neither confirm nor deny, not being sure herself. I made Karivale 9th level in case the PCs needed Raise Dead but would otherwise, for setting reasons, prefer 7th.
There were also several healer-priests of levels up to 5th. The PCs brought the madman from #2 here.
Hope this helps,
Mary

The cleric could be a native of Sandpoint. Serenrae's chapel faces east in the new cathedral. The five years between the destruction of the old cathedral and the erection of the new would be the perfect revelatory and apprenticeship period for a new brother/sister of the faith.
I'm trying to give each player a special role in the game. The "local yokel" is already taken by a farmboy/ wanna be hero. Ther est are either demihumans, Varisians in for the festival. Th priest of Sarenrae I already decided was sent in by the nearest temple to tend to the shrine and because of some nebulous backstory complications that need to be filled out.

Nice. Since I'm running this game in True20, I'm not as tightly bound to Levels. I'm thinking of making churches with a lot of experts, with "miracle workers" far in between. These miracle workers tend to be outside the normal hierarchy, because their gifts are better suited to going out and acting, rather than staying at temple and praying. Because they tend to be so proactive, they usually die "out in the field". I'm hoping that adding some tension between "the gifted" and normal priests will add some roleplaying depth. It also will help keep the power level lower.
