Pathfinder Subscription Gift

Customer Service

I was interested in getting a friend a gift subscription to pathfinder. Appart from just giving him the money, is there anything else that could be done? Please let me know.

Yeah, the next time we met after Christmas, Sel announced that he'd gotten me a Pathfinder subscription! Hooray! But he didn't know how to actually GIVE me a Pathfinder subscription.

From what I understand he's looking to sign me up for six months of issues. The trouble with this seems to be loads more than makes sense. For one, apparently, you can't decide how long you want a subscription for--it's more of an auto account debit thing. Trustworthy guy that I am, I don't know that he's super comfortable getting his account hit if there's some kind of a snag getting it cancelled.

There's lesser concerns, of course--like I think it would be fly to get to have "Pathfinder Subscriber" on my handle for half a year, but that's really not super important--just me being a fanboy.

I guess the big question is, is there some way we could just hand you a big bag full of six months worth of money, and you could ship the next six issues to my place at the 30% off? Like the subscription, but with a definite start and endpoint, all done in advance?

How would that sort of thing work out?

As much as I would love to get a big bag full of money... The monthly credit/debit card charge is the only payment method available for a subscription to Pathfinder/GameMastery/Planet Stories/Etc.

The only method to get a set number of Pathfinder volumes is to order them individually, in a non-subscription manner (and, of course, at cover price).

Alternatively, Sel could create a sub for you using his own profile and set your address as the shipping address. This will get you the books at the subscription price, but you will not get the cool Pathfinder subscriber tag, he will.

Another option is for Sel to get you a Visa or Mastercard prepaid debit card that you could use as a payment method. This way, he just puts all of the money into the card and your subscription debits out of that until it's gone. This will get you all of the bennies of subscribership.

Thanks,
cos

I think this is the best bet - that way Sel can go to the site, use the checkout to figure out how much a sub would be for the time period in question, and put it on a card and give it to you. you could sign up for the subscription and then destroy the card so you don't use the money on anything else... viola! A gift subscription

Prepaid debit cards?? Those exist? I haven't even heard of anything like that ever before. Weird--but yet at the same time cool and very helpful. Thanks everyone. I'm off to call him and let him know.

Thanks for the help.
