I am planning a Warhammer PBP here and Torillan and Valegrim have both expressed interest in playing. In this connection, I opening four (4) more slots for players.
We shall be using the 2nd ed rules. Players have the option of choosing or rolling their starting careers. It is assumed that those joining have at least an access to the core book.
The game will be set in Alt Dorf, capital of the Empire of Sigmar.

I have no pbp experience , nor any WFRP experience, but I do own the 2nd Ed. Rulebook and found it both a great read and a cool game system.
I would be interested if you are willing to put up with my steep learning curve? I even have a human gravedigger by the name of Otto (can't remember his last name off the top of my head) that I made up a month or two ago.

Patience is a trait that rpg should instill in us. Welcome aboard.
Once all the slots are filled up, I'll put up the discussion thread.

Here is the story of my character (Human Protagonist):
Nicklaas van den Haas (sometimes goes by "Little Nick") is a tough man from a not-so-tough part of Marienburg. Being the 3rd son of a merchant, he had virtually no chance at inhereting his father's small trade empire. He enjoyed it most in his father's warehouses, where several of the workers "adopted" him, teaching him how to fight his way out of a scrap.
One day a local gang tried to rough up some of the workers. Nick told his father, who curiously ignored his pleas to help them. Something about "Labor Unions".
So Nick decided to take matters into his own hands. He took the fight to the crime gang. Working his way up the chain of command, he beat the living snot out of the men he encountered, even taking on four at once. Mysteriously, the leader of the gang "disappeared", but several weeks later his body was discovered in a canal leading to Elftown. No one ever claimed resposibility, but Nick knew it had to be done.
The day after his "encounter" with the crime boss, Nick received a bag of gold coins with a note that read "For services rendered..."
But all was not well. Apparently the crime boss worked for another even more powerful crime lord, so Nick had no choice but to flee Marienburg. Hopping onto a riverboat bound for Altdorf, he soon found himself a man with no home...
Contrived, I know, and maybe even a little cliche'd, but c'mon, its Warhammer!!
Once you get a thread up, I'll post the stats with the Invisible Castle links.

Having never done this before, but owning a copy of every edition of WFRP and having worked for GW for eight years, I am very interested. I just need to know what kind of commitment and how we do this, that's all.
WC
Post at least once a day; create your character as per 2nd ed rules then post the stats under an alias; dice rolls using invisible castle dot com. :D

Well let me make sure I can commit, and if so, and if you want an extra person, I am in. Should be able to let you know by Thursday. Any particular races or careers you want? If not do you mind a Kislevite? Let me know if this is all kosher.
WC
No problem with a Kislevite. Though I don't have the Kislevite supplement.

I'd love to join. I've ran WFRP campaigns off and on for years and have pretty much everything ever printed, official and unofficial. You have any spaces left?

Welcome aboard. :D
Just waiting for Spar to confirm his participation. Will start the discussion thread shortly.
Edit: The discussion thread is here.
Would anyone be playing a "Slayer"?

I've played Slayers before and had alot of fun with them. I am willing to play one if need be but thought i'd hold out for others to try out the class.
Question: speaking of unofficial sources: Would you allow a gnome in your game(source: Apocrypha Now)? I realize it's not 2nd edition but they are pretty similar to halflings. Otherwise, I thought i'd role up a halfling character with rogish tendencies. Thoughts?
