Hi there,

I am planning to buy some of the Green Ronin and Paizo specials. I placed an order for 3 books, and went to the shopping cart and was able to select a $6.85 shipping option to Australia. I then decided I also wanted a complete encounter and after adding that to my order could only select a $39.85 shipping option.

Is this meant to happen??....a jump in shipping of $33 for one extra item seems a bit weird.

Hey there.

Good to see another Aussie on the board. Where are you from? I am in beautiful Bristopia.

I got 9 books from the sale and it came to a total of $61.83, so it seems a bit steep.

Another Brisvegas guy here. I found the same problem. I'd recommend trying different mixes of books and breaking them up into smaller lots and then just getting them shipped separately at the cheaper price. I'm currently on my third lot (I think I need professional help). ;-)

I also ordered 9 items (1 of them IS the RotRL Item Deck tho) and my total is $79.48 ($36.99 Items + $42.49 P&H). Maybe it would have been a better option for me to make 3 orders of 3 books each and pay the $6.85 3 times for a total of $20.55 postage =(

I originally had a lot more books in my cart, but the postage was astronomical (close to $150 for $90 worth of stuff) and I couldn't raise the money in time ($300 on the spur of the moment was a bit much unfortunately). By the time I cut my list down to what I could comfortably afford, the 2 books I wanted most were gone (Hamanuptra & Black Company). Maybe if I had have ordered them by 3's then I could have started placing orders immediately and got the books I wanted 'cause my shipping would have been cut in half. Hindsight is not a very nice thing. =(

Incidently, I placed my order a couple of weeks ago and they are still pending! I added another book that came back in stock, but only because it was still pending at the time and I thought I could sneak it in.

The breakpoint seems to be $20 as far as I can tell. I ended up cutting out a $2 product which bought it under $20 and suddenly the shipping was fine again.

Thanks for the idea of buying lots of little parcels...though I still think the shipping is weird. Why would a parcel worth over a certain amount need to get there faster?

I am willing to wait to get a cheaper shipping rate (USD33 is a fair lot of ready funds that I could spend on something else, or buy some of the stuff full price here). I am only stocking up for the 4th ed changeover so I have things to play well into the future.

PS when I just ordered Hamanuptra was listed as being available (I hope it still is)

Sczarni

the 6.95 shipping option is by weight - so that last item put you over the weight limit for the bound paper products postal rate

easiest thing to do would be to split it into 2 orders and get the 6.95 rate on each

OK so it is...

When I asked for them to be added after I saw they were back available last week, I was told by Corey that they would not be coming back into stock.

Just ordered Hamanuptra & Black Company, but get this:

I had to order them as 2 seperate orders!
So breakpoint is not $20 as my order was only $15.

The Black Company Campaign Setting $16.86
Egyptian Adventures: Hamunaptra $11.86

When I tried to order them together my shipping jumped from $6.86 up to $39.85. (So now I paid $13.72 to ship 2 individual orders instad of $39.85 for 1???)

As usual, Cpt_kirstov is correct. For international packages, the break is for packages consisting of at least 50% books (by weight) with a total weight of no more than 4 pounds (including the box and packing materials). (That's maybe two hardcovers or three softcovers. Roughly.)

We're working on a plan to split orders up appropriately for you so that you can more easily take advantage of this discounted shipping in the future, but for now, yes, multiple orders can save you money compared to one big one.

Thanks for that Vic. I know this has been said before many times, but your customer service has got to be some of the best around.

I think you can now start to expect lots of orders for little packages to Australia.
