Quince Darkivy, elemental sorcerer of air, is now updated to Alpha 2.
(And I kept my familiar in place of the L1 bloodline feat. Thanks.)
Here's an interesting Conundrum.
According to the PFRPG Alpha 3 Ruleset, a Sorcerer doesn't get his first Bloodline Feat until 7th level now, not 1st (which really sucks by the way). So I took out Coralee's Dodge Feat, but how does this affect Quince? Personally I was wanting to get a Familiar also, but not for quite a few levels, so I'm not too worried... yet. I think if eiter Quince or Coralee wanted to get a Familiar, then we should forgo our 1st level Bloodline ability and get Arcane Bond instead. I think that the amount of times I will use the 1st level Fey Bloodline ability will be equal to the amount of times that I will use the Familiar ability until I get to a high enough level to get the Familiar I want (that's ZER0 for those of you who find it hard to follow my train of thought... hell knows I do sometimes)!;)

Hmm, I didn't notice that the bloodline feat was moved to 7th level. But it makes sense, because sorcerers now get Eschew Materials as a bonus feat at 1st level. Quince doesn't need the familiar (I'd rather have an interesting bloodline to playtest, or I would have taken the Arcane bloodline), but since I started with a familiar it made sense to keep it for story purposes.
Rad will have to make the decision, but here are the options I can think of:
- Require the Arcane bloodline to get a familiar
- Replace Eschew Materials with the familiar feat
- Replace my standard 1st level feat with the familiar feat
- Retcon out the familiar (Risk wasn't really a familiar, he was just following Quince around for a few days, and Quince misunderstood)
- I don't like the idea of replacing the 1st-level bloodline aability with familiar. I want to try out the Elemental bloodline. Otherwise, I should just take the Arcane bloodline.
To be honest, I'd be fine with removing the familiar (though of course that doesn't help Coralee) at the expense of storyline continuity. I don't want the Arcane Bloodline, I don't want to lose my 1st-level bloodline power, and I'd prefer not to give up my standard 1st-level feat. I would be willing to replace Eschew Materials, but I'd prefer to keep as close to the (current) RAW as much as possible for playtest purposes.

Maybe I should just take the Arcane Bloodline, really I only took the Fey Bloodline because of the whole "Fey Gnome" connection.
What do you think Rad? Obviously the Familiar won't become an issue for me until waaaay down the track so I'm not too worried if I don't take it.I also didn't notice that they get Eschew Materials either, so we both both missed something. =)

Guys I may be gone at the beach til Tuesday. I'll try to use my laptop there, but I'm not certain whether we'll have internet. Then on Wednesday I'm going somewhere else, and I may or may not be able to use the computer there. It's not really certain.
At any rate, feel free to NPC Drint as necessary.

Totally non game related question.
My wife has a favor to ask.
Hello. My name is Jackie Scarborough. My husband, Russell, has been playing online D & D games with you for quite some time. I am currently working on my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. One of my classes this semester is Advanced Multiculturalism. One assignment/project that I have to complete within the next few weeks is an Immersion Project. For this assignment I have to collect information (in various ways) on a culture that I have not been exposed to in any great quantity. I have chosen to investigate the culture of D & D.
One way I would like to collect information is through a dialogue composed of several questions.

Girther charges.
Charge melee attack: (1d20 8=26)
Charge melee damage: (1d10 3=13)Woot! That should get her attention!
... or kill us all.
I currently don't know if Fjyndel is able to act or has to wait until the next round. Further I don't know how well or not Grendel is and if Fjyndel takes further care of him or not.
Has the shillelagh spell of his club already worn off? Duration is 1min./lvl, so that would make 2 minutes...
