Pathfinder Fansite

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Hullo!

I've recently started constructing a fansite for the pathfinder franchise. Heavily inspired by the phenomenal Dragonlance Nexus, the goal of this site, which I've tentatively named Pathstrider, is to become a home for fans of the Pathfinder setting and a place where we can all share articles, adventures, game mechanics, etc. etc. etc. with each other.

The site is still in its infancy and I've barely started on design. This is where you guys come in. Naturally, the site is going to contain news about the Pathfinder setting and, hopefully, about the Pathfinder community. It'll also feature articles, game mechanics, adventures, etc. But what else would you like to see on a Pathfinder fansite? How would you like to see the gaming section set up?

The purpose of the site is to help the Pathfinder community grow and to provide players and DMs alike with tons of material to use in their games. Naturally, I can't do this alone. I have a Real Life and also contribute to the Dragonlance community. Therefore, this site is going to rely heavily on user participation. I'll write stuff but I'm hoping that it'll be a community project, once the site goes live.

Anyway, if you have any ideas about design, layout, functionality, features, etc. etc. etc., please let me know!

Thanks!

A place where people can put up their characters, and campaign journals for everyone to see would be nice.

How about an editor that screens content for just plain readability. There are some things on the Nexus that make the English major in me cry.

I would like to suggest separate areas for DMs and players of the various Pathfinder APs as well. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Damn, I'll have to keep an eye out for when you get this ready.

While I love the Nexus, it' layout is irritating to me at times. For a new site I'd suggest something along the layout/design of Canonfire! That is a beautiful, easy to use site there.

I want to agree i think there should be an area for both player and DMs so the players wont get an accidental spoiler

I'd be interested in seeing thoughts on adapting non-Pathfinder adventures to Golarion. Could there be a section for that?

Howdy Raven,
I miss chatting with you guys over at the nexus I trust everyone is well.
Anyway down to business, a pathfinder Lexicon would be great. Something keeping track of people, places, history, magic items, monsters, organizations, gods, planes and planar powers, and anything else that has to do with the world as a whole would be wonderful.

Im working on trying to tie a few to rise of the runelords so we can go from 1 to 20 found 2 in dungeon that will be great

something I work on myself, not sure if it is viable for a website, but I do a inventory for most of the shops, per level. So when a player is looking for a certain magical weapon, it doesn't aromatically appear in a shop, and if it was written before they asked for it, then the player can't argue that I don't want them to have "weapon x" This can be in the form of the list that showed up in the back of the dungeon mags randomly. its something I did for AOW and it worked wonderfully.. if there was a non standard item they were looking for that I didn't think to add but thought that the shop might have, then I would add it, but weapons/armor and adventuring gear from the SRD I kept to what was written. It made the wizards craft skills that much more valuable.
