I was also shocked by Fatespinner turning into Erik Mona.
It's not just Fatey. Go look at the Erik Mona Day thread. I think it's contagious . . .

Actually it's not Mona theft; an item in the RPG Superstar: "Uncouth Items" Thread changes your avatar, automatically, to Rel!
For an unpopular avatar, maybe take James Keegan's old avatar -- or does he still have the rights? Truthfully, I really miss it.
And yes, I get confused sometimes when I'm browsing and I see a post by Darkjoy -- and I think, huh, I posted on this Thread??

Yeah, it would be cool to upload our own. Although, my wife did point out to me that I look strangely similar to my avatar (except for the ears).

Oddly enough, I do. Freaked my wife right out while we were dating (still does, I think). My son has inherited the trait.
I just sleepwalk. It's "real" enough that people think I'm awake, which can lead to problems.
I used to as well, years ago. Finally did grow out of it. If I remember correctly the final time I had a dream about relieving myself in the toilet (we had a two room bathroom back then, well, my parents still have it). Woke up to discover the clothes hamper outside in the yard (you connect the dots).
My wife sleepwalks when she is very stressed out. Frightening too, because she bolts up and looks at me with those "I'm looking right the hell through you" eyes, and then runs for the door (sometimes down stairs)! Usually she can’t figure out how to work the doorknobs, but once I was watching The Nightmare Before Christmas on the couch when she ran passed me into the rain, down our driveway, and onto the road. Had to go chase her down and shake her awake, of course, the poor woman was disoriented and terrified. Scary stuff!

A "friend" of mine a while back (some posters may remember the woeful tale of Andy the Game Crasher) once had to "crash" over at "my place". At about three o'clock in the morning, he sits bolt-upright, marches to the front door, and begins slamming himself into it. Repeatedly. Hard. It took close to five minutes to wake him up.
