NOOO not those kind. I mean like funny family names you'd give dwarves or halflings or elves or whatever. Like Our old DM had a whole clan of dwarves who were the "Ballzout Clan". I had a dwarven clan named Stonewhacker. Anyone else have any good ones they want to share?
Thanks to things brought out by all this 4E talk I've decided to name either a dwarven first name, or possibly a whole clan of dwarves with the "Grognard" name. I can see them saying things like "We've never done it that way before, so why would we start now??" Stuff like that.
:D

Come on. The funniest racial name was published in Dungeon some years ago. I forget the issue, and the name of the Adventure, but it dealt with a corrupt halfling sheriff of a small town, nee Rosey Applebottom.
My players grew to hate him, as he fled from their clutches several times, and gave his taunting cry of "You can bite my Rosey Applebottom!" That didn't die down for some years.

I've got a halfling village in my campaign named Good Weed. In the past, one of my player's created a pair of Dwarven brothers (each one of whom was set to appear in a different campaign) from the Boulder clan. The first was Granite Boulder, the other was Stone Boulder... both sons of Rock Boulder...
Don't know if those names really count as funny, but we all smiled...

We met up with a bunch of Xorn named things like Rocky, Cliff, Chip, Stone, etc. That was fun...in a wierd sort of way. This DM always makes up crazy names for our game (at least I don't imagine some of these are in the AoW AP) so we get coatl named Vinnie Z. Zinfandel and such. I dunno I guess it's spontaneous. Of course we help. I'm still waiting for him to intro Lord Rogaine of Propecia or some such.
I personally like gnome names. WTF? Tomnoddy Tumblemuffin. Those crazy gnomes.

I've played girl gnome sisters before in different campaigns, one named Fijit and one named Fixit. Fijit was a wizard/rogue, Fixit was a cleric.
They have other siblings I haven't gotten to yet:
Fibit (probably a bard)
Figgit (very modest)
Filit (the glass is half empty!)
Firit (very scary)
Fitit (make... it... go... in!)
Fizit (soda anyone?)
Yay gnomes!

One of my players was trying to pay homage to a certain Elven diety and misheard his name, so the riotous laughter that ensued was brought on by the addition of an Elf bard named "Lavander Morning-Wood!"
I nearly wet myself as I fell out of my chair laughing. He didn't get it for like 5 minutes, we all almost passed out from laughing.
