Adding to that question, are there any plans to have unmarked maps available for download as supplements, as you did for Dungeon magazine? We use a virtual tabletop, and I like those maps to use for the players. At the moment, I'm using Photoshop to try to remove room numbers, secret doors, and traps, which is easier on some maps than others.
Thanks,
Drew Garrett

What is the feasibility of having a simple B/W version of the PAthfinder PDF with simple B/W text, and simple black lined maps?
Obviously for cheap and easy printing.
I've asked this question before but can't find the thread in which I posted it.
Print it in B&W. Printer settings.

All the color still gets printed in black, sucking the cartridge dry.

This won't happen, alas. We'd have to purchase an entire new set of maps for each Pathfinder to do it, and would have to re-layout the entire thing. We barely have enough manpower as it is to keep Pathfinder going (we're slowly catching up on our schedule... but only by putting in 60+ hour weeks). And paying for those black & white maps would have to come out of the main product's budget, which is already pretty tight.
So unfortunately... this is a no-can-do.
Doing a map supplement like we did for Dungeon where we provide maps without the number tags is much more doable... but not until we get Pathfinder itself caught up and back on schedule. Which probably won't be for a few months.

Unfortunate, but thanks for taking the time to let me know why. Its something I can accept.
Plus gives me another reason to hope Paizo becomes even more successful. So giving us these "exra benefits" becomes doable.
Still, is there now way to "turn off" all the color, meaning have the PDF layered so I can turn off all the art pieces and background stuff, so that at least the simple text can be printed out?
The maps aren't all that big a deal to me. They are too gorgeous to not want to use them in all their glory. Simple black and white line drawings would just be a nice thing to use for printing out hand out type stuff.
Fortunately I like hand drawing maps. They are by no means works of art though. Barely functional, to be honest.
