Would someone be so kind as to post stats for the whip-dagger? It sounds interesting and like something an upcoming character would use but I can't buy the Arms and Equipment Guide for one weapon.
Thanks
i dunno if anyone can post that, sorry i dont think i have it anyway
however i remember there being a "braid blade" hair blade in Dungeon issue 120, if you have that issueit had demogorgon on the cover
dunno if that will help or not

I found them, in said Dragon article. Don't know why I didn't see it when I looked at it last in the library.
High priestesses of Loviatar in my home campaign are the only ones allowed to use these "holy weapons" of the godess. But i have always wondered that if a whip does 1-2 points of damage and a dagger does 1-4 points of damage, what is the logic in making the damage 1-6 for the whip dagger (leverage?).

I've always wondered why the whip does non-lethal damage.
It's pretty hard to kill someone by lashing them with a bullwhip. While you can draw blood, the cuts are shallow. A scourge often had bits of metal at the ends to make the wounds deeper.

I've ruled that criticals with whips can be lethal damage if you want, and a max damage critical with a whip is a shot to the ear, causing the target to loose balance and stumble around for the next round (due to eardrum rupture) I have had this hit both ears of a BBEG once... and save some PCs
