Nice; I took the kids to the pumpkin patch on Sat; and we then violated them squashes with nefarious cutting implements of DEE-struction and pulled thier guts out; hehe my five year old was like; Eyw, this is icky, but she kept on pulling out seeds and strings like a trooper :)
just need to find a camera (that uhm woman took it) to snap the pic.
oh; if you cut your jacks early; try to keep them cool and you can wet them a bit if practical; if you coat the teeth and eyes and stuff with oil or vaseline they will not loose as much moister and curl as fast.
I have decided I shall be a lobotomy patient for haloween. Now to find a capable surgeon...

Well I just returned from taking the 4 year old red wrymling out for some trick or treating.... she managed to scare plenty of villiagers out of their valuable confections. She is currently adding up her hoard and moving it over into a corner of the lair. She also managed to get a little bit of flying in. (At my expense! She is getting heavy.) Her dragon sales pitch at every villagers door was, "Trick or Treat... ROAR!".
All in all a great time... now I just can't wait till the next little wrymling gets here in June. More good dragon fun.

heh just found this thread (thanks Pygon). I had posted in the Savage Tide boards about doing a Savage Pumpkin, but had no takers. I will join the game though and do a Gobbo pumpkin and send a link when I get it.

I made about 5 Jack O' Lanterns, plus 3 Fred O' Lanterns (winter squash. Duh!) None of them were happy. Can you blame them, after I did all that to them?! How would being gutted, sliced, and burned make you feel??!!
