I'd be interested in anyone's opinions:
Does anyone play/use Goodman Games adventures? What do you think of them? Which ones are your favorites/least favorites? Why?
Additionally, does anyone have any experience submitting to them? What are they like? Any tips you'd care to pass on? Pitfalls to watch out for?
Finally, I see that some Paizo alum have written a few modules for them - Schneider has written Cage of Delirium and Blackguard's Revenge, Greer has penned Escape from the Forest of Lanterns. D'oh! These products don't have any reviews on this site - but Cage of Delirium won an Ennie I believe. Has anyone played these modules? All three look really interesting.
Any Paizo posters out there (whose real names I'm not familiar with) who have written a module for them too?
(FTR, I own #0, Legends are Made, not Born; and #16, Curse of the Emerald Cobra. I liked #0 quite a bit, thought #16 was ok.)

I own a handful and like them quite a bit, but they are more like "adventure kits" than complete scenarios. They provide just enough context to put the dungeon into (and they are pretty much pure dungeon crawl), and pretty much assume that you'll customize the heck out of them to make them fit your campaign.
The quality does vary; Emerald Cobra is one that I ran with a fair amount of success. Idylls of the Rat King has several neat ideas, but my group abandoned it upon completing the first level.
I also went through The Blackguard's Revenge as a player, and it was excellent.

The Dungeon Crawl Classics are very First Edition feel - which is good if you want a good low-key game. As you found out, several of the DCC adventures are written by Paizo alumni, you can find a list I've compiled here. I do know they also have some more DCC adventures in the works - keep your eyes peeled.
I have The Golden Palace of Zahadran by Greg Oppedisano, is a very fun desert adventure. Fantabulous if you've got a Al-Qadim/desert style campaign, or a good side quest in that terrain. Lots of Persian-themed monsters as well. Good stuffs.
I also have Escape from the Forest of Lanterns by Steve Greer. Best described as Hansel and Gretel gone wrong. Won't spoil it for you, but it's full of fun.
Goodman Games' submission guidelines are here.

I own several of them and we have played two or three of them. I like the old school feel. They have some traps and puzzles but mostly it is shoot first ask questions later. We like that sometimes (most times, actually).
I liked the Dragon Cult module, Aerie of the Crow God, and the Treant one. I am trying to string together a campaign arc with a few of them.
The folks on their forums are a lot like the ones here at Paizo and may even be some of the same people. Nice and friendly and Joseph Goodman and adventure authors frequent the boards and answer questions.

I've run The Mysterious Tower and it's still one my group remembers several years later. Aeire of the Crow God was good enough to make it into my campaign as well but the group never took the bait to go find it.
I love the old school feel to them and bringing out monsters and traps that some todays DM's may feel have been overdone, but some of the younger players have never run into. If they've never seen it before it's fresh and interesting to them! Plus it's like a trip down memory lane for me (leaping over the pit trap to land in the second pit trap placed right beyond it... a classic!).
just my two coppers,

Forgotten Tower and Sunless Garden will find a place in my next campaign run. They both could make good side treks in a RotRL path.
I'd like to get Castle Whiterock, but my budget would never forgive me.
Aerth is kind of opposite Golarion. We have the Adventure Paths, GameMatery modules, and now other products, fleshing out the world. Goodman Games gives us a campaign setting based on modules already published.

Thanks Lilith!
I've been to their site and I've checked out their submission guidelines - I have a project that I'm thinking about submitting to them.
Greer's adventure does look good for a fun one or two-shot.
FYI - I just contacted them last week in fact, and they said to maybe hold off until January to submit anything. They have several adventures already in the pipeline, and by the time they are needing more, 4e will be fast approaching (and they have stated they will convert to 4e). So they are probably either waiting to get a their hands on the new SRD or at least wanting to know when they will have their hands on the new SRD before approving more DCCs.
Or, they might just not like me and were blowing me off. ;)
Of course, you can submit anyway since they haven't publicly stated it. I just asked "Hey, with 4e coming, are you still taking submissions right now?" Maybe if you send in an uber-awesome idea, they might still try to fit it in. *shrug* I just wanted to give fair warning of what they told me.

Thanks! Good to know, my idea is in the rough stages as of yet...but nice to know in advance they are saturated with stuff and holding off for 4e.
Ah well . . .
