Unfortunately missed that (I thought Bri had shot that one) anyway was asleep, Tuon will step back five foot and do the spoiler anyway, it was his first instinct.

Spot 10

Spoiler:
The worgs seem to have some sort of harness on them

Spot 15

Spoiler:
The goblins wrestling with the large wolf are trying to hook the harness to the wagon they have been piling stuff into.

The gnoll grabs one of the goblins and thrusts the worgs lead rope in his hand and marches out to meet Tuon, swinging his axe as he approaches.

Tuon spot 15

Spoiler:
Now that you are closer you can see that the two guards are York and Borin.

The guards train their bows on the wild worg and loose their arrows.
One arrow sinks into the worgs flank and the other sticks into the ground by it's foot."

The last goblin confidently hops around Bri feinting with his club before throwing his weight into his swing but Bri still manages to stay out of reach.

There is one goblin fighting Bri, two goblins holding the worgs, and two goblins fire arrows at Roderick, and finally the one gnoll facing off with Tuon.
Tuon is about 40 feet from the worgs and goblins. Bri is about 70 feet east from the worgs and Roderick is 20 feet south of Bri and the two guards are 60' south of the worgs.
Bri is up

Sorry about the wait I have been swamped the past few days

Bri continues to move away from the goblin that really wants to take her down. Bri steps back as she pulls her bow and sends an arrow flying towards the goblin. attack:5+5+1=10 spot: 2+5=7 Clearly seeing that her arrow was not successful she tries to see if there is anywhere she can move to for a better advantage point to attack him or to see if anybody is close by that can help.

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

"Roderick, quick, get them."

hint, hint

The goblin is a little more wary of the halfling after watching her kill two of his companions with one bolt each and duck under her shot.

Roderick is up

Roderick grunts in pain as the arrows stab into his body but quickly pushes the pain away and launches another arrow at the goblins firing at him.
Attack 14 +4 = 18
Damage 1

The arrow flies at the lead goblin and grazes his leg open a deep gash, the goblin wipes the blood off his leg and licks his hand snarling. He reaches back and grabs another arrow and sends it flying back at Roderick.
The arrow flys wide but the next arrow from the second goblin glances of Rodericks skull and open a large cut above his left ear.
Attack 14+3=17
Damage 1
Tuon is up

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

Tuon attacks the gnoll as it approaches. He quickly raises the blade high then attempts to bring it down hard on the hyena face before his club is ready.

Attack roll 8+3=11, Damage "to my reputation as a warrior" high

Tuon checks to see whether there is any help likely from the rest of the camp.

Spot roll 20+2=22, hmmm

Tuons swing falls short and the gnoll streps back slightly before advancing again.

for Tuon

Spoiler:
With a quick look around you can see that this isn't the only place in camp that is under attack so several of the other guards are busy defending the other wagons. The two guards, which you can know see are York and Borin, are the only help you will expect for a little while.

With the arrow in the worg's flank the giant wolf starts snapping and taring at its harness trying to get free. One goblin grabs the worgs lead rope but shreiks in surprise and pains as the giant wolf chomps down on his body. The worg shakes the dead goblin in his jaws and flings him into the dark.

With savage growl the gnoll swings at Tuon with a wild roundhouse swing catching Tuon in the side. His armor stops the axe from cutting into him but he hears ribs crack and pain flares through his chest.
Attack 15+3 = 18
Damage 3+2 = 5

The two guards, York and Borin, keep launching arrows at the now crazed worg and two more arrows pierces it's tough hide.
Attack 12+2=14, 13+2=15
Damage 4, 8

Now almost forgotten in the edge of the firelight Bri and the goblin tumble and trade feints and swings trying to find an opening. Finally Bri stumbles on a rock and the goblin lunges forward and chopping down on her up raised arm with his club.
Attack 19+2 = 21
Damage 2
Bri is up

Female Halfing Rogue

That wasn't very nice

Bri screams in pain as the club bashes into her arm. Bri grabs her sword and lunges forward into the goblin. Attack: 12+1=13 "Take that you worthless piece of flesh."

Bri drops her crossbow, draws her sword and lunges at the goblin but he jumps to the side out of the swords path.

Roderick rushes forward behind his brother and fires another arrow at the lead goblin with a bow.
Attack 7+4+5(action point) = 16
Damage 6

His arrow flies just to the right of his brother and hits the goblin right in the chest and sends him to the ground and into death.

Seeing his companion fall dead on the ground the second goblin launches an arrow but it flies right by Roderick's head and the goblin turns and flees towards the trees.

Back at the wagons the last goblin watches his companion fly from the worgs mouth and decides that he has had enough. He leaps on the back of the uninjured worg and turns it towards the tree line.

Tuon is up

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

The action is hotting up. "Thanks Rod watch out for that large wolf, its been hit by arrows but they seem to be making it angry. Remember the last one."

Tuon slices across one wrist of the gnoll hoping to disable his weapon hand.

Longsword attack roll 13+3=16, Damage 4+3=7

He then sidles five foot around the gnoll to help position the beast for Bri to flank it, possibly. Now Bri can see at close range that Tuon has red, glittering, alien eyes.

The gnoll pulls his arm back but Tuons sword opens a long cut and continues into the gnolls thigh hitting the bone. The gnoll yelps and stagers back from the heavy blow. The gnoll switches his axe to his other hand he starts to circle Tuon and lunges with a overhand chop at the warriors head but his leg can no longer support his weight and his swing goes wide.

By the wagon the crazed worg lunges forward and breaks his harness with a snap and charges toward Roderick and Tuon.

Both guards eyes widen as the worg charges the two men but keep it together enough to keep firing arrows and both arrow strike the warg dead center. The worg collapses spraying gravel and dirt everywhere as it grinds to a halt right next to Tuon and the gnoll.

Seeing his mate finally fall the worg heading into the dark charges back into camp with the frantic goblin pulling and kicking along for the ride.

Bri and her opponent continue to circle and the goblin take a look at the odds and starts running back toward the cover of darkness way from camp.

Bri is up

Bri watches as the Goblin starts to retreat. She thinks for a moment about following it but with her arm hurting she decides she will be much better help if she stays and helps Tuon. Bri turns to see the gnoll and charges towards it sword drawn. attack:2+4=6, yes that includes my charging and my flanking, this dice hate me today. Dreamweaver watched me roll this and laughed (nice husband, grateful DM)

At the last minute the gnoll heard the small foot steps behind him and jumps side as Bri thrusts her sword at his back.

Roderick sees the worg turn and charge his brother and he grabs another arrow and sends it flying at the charging monster and the arrow sticks into the wolfs shoulder.
Attack 10+4 = 14
Damage 2
Tuon is up

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

Fair Tuon moves in on the clever gnoll.

He slashes across its throat, keeping the shield high to protect from that axe.

Attack? roll 4+3=7

Seeing the gnoll still up, Tuon repositions again to help Bri, with one eye on the worg.

Remember if you don't use your action points before you level up you loose them so you should probably start using them now.

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

I was hoping to save mine for something tougher than a gnoll but....oh well. Probably wouldn't help when I am rolling this low. We have to decide whether or not to use them BEFORE we make the attack roll, right?

Yes you have to decide before the roll

The little goblin shouts and cures trying to get worg to turn around as the large wolf rushes towards York and Borin and plows into the both of them knocking barrels, goblin, and men flying.

The gnoll looks frantically around trying to flee to the trees and finding no safe way he growls and lunges toward Tuon with is axe leading the way, but Tuon throws his shield up and deflects the wild swing.

York throws the smelly panicked goblin off him and sends another arrow at the worg driving the arrow deep into the worgs side.

Attack 20+2 = 22 critical yes **getting out the cards**
Confirm 1+2 = 3 Damn **putting cards back** :(
Damage 3 whooo hooo :/

Borin quickly looks for his bow and finds it broke in two so he draws his sword and stands up ready for the worg.

Bri is up

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

Just to be certain, I shall use an action point when I next attack. Bri where for art thou?

Female Halfing Rogue

"Thanks for the help Tuon" Bri yells as she turns after missing the gnoll and curses to herself. 'maybe I should have thought about this a little more'. Bri runs and charges the gnoll yet again with her sword hoping that maybe she will hit something. using action point: Attack: 8+2=10 add action point 10+4 Whoo Hoo (I think I was suppose to use a d4 but Dreamweaver is swamped at work and I couldn't ask him so I will just go with this)

Liberty's Edge

Female Elvish ( Its in my ears) Mother6/Wife6

FYI Dreamweaver and I will be gone this weekend due to my 10 year class reunion sorry for the inconvenience. We are leaving tomorrow afternoon

Since you used a d4 instead of a d6 I will give you the average 5 so you need to roll damage for your attack. Regular damage plus you Sneak Attack.

Damage: 4+3=7

Bri ducks under a swift kick aimed her way and the thrusts her sword under the gnolls arm and into his heart. The gnoll convulses and collapses on the ground freeing up Roderick to send an arrow streaking at the worg.
Attack 1+3(action point) = 4
Attack on York for crit fumble 10

The arrow flies towards the two guards and the worg and pins Yorks cloak to the barrel next to him. York tears his cloak free and yells back towards Roderick, "Watch it there pup maybe you should leave the fighting to the adults."

The poor little goblin picks himself off the ground, looks around and runs towards the tree line crying in fear the entire time.

Tuon is up.

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

Tuon charges the worg, trying to make up for his brother's mistake.

"York, get it flanked, mate."

Tuon charges (up to 80ft), uses an action point, and will try to flank the worg but I haven't included that bonus. Attack roll 17+2+6=25, Damage 5+3=8

Tuon's sword slices into the worgs flank and blood starts flowing down his side and on to the ground.

The worg spins and snaps his jaws on Tuons arm but his armor prevents any damage other than some major bruising.

Borin lunges at the worgs side as the worg turns to bite Tuon but falls short.

York drops his bow, draws his sword and follows through with a big backhand swing but his attack flies wide.

You now have the worg surrounded on three sides.
Tuon and York are flanking but Borin is not.
Bri is up

Female Halfing Rogue

Bri sees the action going on if front of her and runs until she is about 7 feet away from the worg. This is all I can do in this move sorry Tuon

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

"Be careful Bri!" shouts Fair Tuon. He raises a hand to her as he continues to fight. "This one has a nasty bite and I reckon you would be fighting from the inside!"

His confidence shaken Roderick puts away his bow, draws his longsword and runs up to join in the last fight.

The last goblin finally runs into the darkness and away from the battle.

Tuon is up

Female Halfing Rogue

So is just the worg left?

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

Tuon aims to drive his sword down the gullet of the beast.

Attack roll 2+3+2=7

And realises the creature is just too fast for that.

The Worg dodges Tuons sword thrust and lunges at the fighter again and his jaws close around his left shoulder and chest.
Attack 19 + 7 = 26
Damage 5 + 4 = 9
Strength check to trip 8 + 3 = 11

Teeth pierce his armor and bloods starts soaking his chest and the worg shakes his head trying to knock Tuon off his feet.

York and Berin both start slashing at the worgs back as it ravages Tuon but only Yorks thrust in the worgs side draws blood.

Tuon make your save to prevent the trip and Bri is up

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

Tuon staggers and ...

Strength check plus action point = 4(d20)+3(str)+1(ap)=8

...he falls.

Seeing the worg attack Tuon in the shoulder and chest Bri shouts at the worg trying to get the attention off of Tuon. As she is yelling at the beast she runs up to it and attacks with her sword. attack: 13+2=15

Female Halfing Rogue

Damage 4+2 = 6

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

Tuon grins up at Bri.

"Keep it up, you're killing it."

As the worg clamps his jaws down on his brother memories of his family getting torn apart by wolves come flooding back. When Tuon falls to the ground despair overwhelms Roderick and he screams "NO!! don't take him again."

He grabs his sword and charges in to the worg swinging.
Attack 12 + 4 = 16
Damage 5+1 = 6

Rodericks sword bites deep into his neck and the worgs head falls to the ground and its body topples over nearly crushing Bri under it's weight.

Well done the encounter is over

York walks over to Roderick and claps him on the shoulder, "Nice hit, glad you go it together."

Borin starts to lean down to help Tuon up until Tuon looks up at him with his glowing eyes. "Hey.. what the.." Borin shouts as he jumps back from the wounded fighter. "What is that all about? Some sort of magic?"

By the way you two get 500 XP

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

Tuon blinks and shakes his head. The eyes are back to normal, as if it never happened.

"Thanks Brother. That was a bit close for comfort. Well done. I wonder why they attacked and if the caravan is safe now?" he adds to deflect the attention.

"Huh must of been the fire light." Borin takes another step back anyway and clears his throat. "Well attacks on caravans here are not rare but they have never been this organized. It is usually just a couple of goblins and they are turned away with almost not blood shed."

"Yeah is was definitely different than most attacks and there have never been any of these." York adds as he prods the dead worg.

Roderick sheaths his sword and backs away from the dead worg with a haunted look in his eyes and almost falls down as he tries to sit by a lite brazer.

Female Halfing Rogue

Bri moves away from the falling Worg. "That was a close one, Thanks Rodrick." Bri sits down next to Tuon and lets a big sigh of relief out. "Well Tuon, not the way I planned to spend this trip. How about you?" Bri checks her arm to see if it is still bleeding. "Well look at that, its going to leave a scar and tarnish my beautiful looks." Bri says joking. Bri then turns her attention to Tuon to see what his damages are and if he will need to be healed or not. "Well lets take a look at the added collection of scars you are going to have there Tuon." heal check: 19

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

Clawed and now badly bitten.

Your heal check shows that Tuon only has 6 hit points left from 15.

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

"Rod, can you check on that merchant we were meant to be keeping alive. We may be out of a job."

"Bri - just let me rest for a while, the wounds will heal. By the way you are one dangerous goblin slayer."

Roderick doesn't seem to hear Tuon or anything around him for that matter, his eyes just staring into the darkness.

York looks over at Roderick with a worried look on his face, "I can check real quick for you, I need to talk to some of the other guards anyway to see what the damage is." He grabs his bow and sheaths his sword, "What company are you working for?"

Human Cleric (Thor) 1, Hits

Tuon tells him the company name and keeps his eyes fixed on his brother's strange behaviour.

"Rod?" he asks softly.

Roderick starts at his brothers voice and then look over at him, "The giant wolf... mom and dad.. everything just came flooding back. I mean I almost hit that guard, the little halfling did more good than I." Roderick cups his face in his hands, "I thought I lose you again when that worg latched onto you."

"I had thought that moving here would put that horrible event behind me bit I was wrong."

For \-*^/

The days pass and still the dwarf doesn't return and on the second day of his absence the badger even disappears. With the little food that Cort left, you quickly heal from your wounds and your strength returns.

The sun rises over the mountains and fills the grove you have been staying in for the last couple days and the suns warmth drives away the night chill. Off to the south you can see the smoke rising from what you assume is a town or city.

Welcome back
You are up to 5 hps know.
