Pathfinder #1: Great maps, but...

Rise of the Runelords

...any chance we'll get these without secret doors & labeled areas so they will be usable for folks who want to print them as battlemats for their players or use them with a digital projection? (This can be created in the PDF with layers, for example).

Thanks in advance - the first adventure looks great!

I was wondering this as well. It would be nice to get player versions of the maps.

Sovereign Court

What he said. Double.

Worst way to bog down a game is for the DM and mapping guy to get hung up on minute details. Physical reveal has been our method for awhile now.

I would greatly appreciate maps like this so I wouldn't have to recreate them for use with Maptool at the table.

We want to get caught up with Dungeon's map/art supplements first, but after that I'm going to try to carry on that tradition with Pathfinder. Cross your fingers!

Thanks for the response James! (As usual, they're great maps - shame to have them only for the DM's eyes!)

:)

I've actually started to edit out all of the text and dotted lines and stuff with photoshop. I'm done with the Caverns of Wrath, and the Glassworks and Thistletop are almost done. (They're harder with beds and small room features. The first level in the Thistletop dungeon will be hard, too.) I'm planning on editing the secret room out of the last dungeon level as well and then having it in a seperate image to put down over top of the map if the PCs find it.

Am I allowed legally to give others these edited maps when I am done, though? I'm willing to share but I don't know if I can.

Liberty's Edge

Sure you can! drools ;)

What if you only sent them to people with Pathfinder Subscriber next to their name? That way you'd be sure that you were only giving them to people who had already paid for the material.

I'd love copies, btw. :D

True, those with "Pathfinder Subscriber" would indicate they are pathfinder subscribers, but I wouldn't think just having blank maps would ruin the series. My wife's account with which the Pathfinder was subscribed to will not show when I choose to post using my own account profile, and I'm the one running the games.
