Doing best Jack Sparrow imitation Ohhh weddings, I love weddings ... drinks all around.

Pirates always get the best lines, ya know ...

Dark Archive Contributor

Bah. Pirates. They got their own adventure path in Dungeon. Might be a while (I hope) before see any GM Modules with pirates in them. ;)

So, to make things fair, are we going to have N1 anytime soon?

Come on Troy! You know Mike better than that... Ahem:

N is for Ninja

Sovereign Court

S for side track adventures?!

So many people keep on writing to Dungeon about them...
What about two or three side tracks bundled into one GameMastery Module?
I couldn't imagine a better DM help - side tracks for all opportunities!

T is for tangent. Bundled with the Pathfinder modules just for that moment when the PCs do something completely off the wall, there's a nice little sidequest for them.

Here's a great Ninja website that Gamemastery writers can use to bone up on Ninjas before they begin!

Check out the Ninja hatemail.

It only seems that way, but in reality, three quarters of the readers who prefer ninjas can't be seen or heard.

As a diehard ninja lover, it is.

How about a module (or series of modules) that documents the fierce war between the ninja and the pirates? It was a long and terrible battle, for sure, that needs to be told.

Spoiler:
In the end, though, they were forced to band together to face off against the alien robots (but keep that under your hat).

Possible titles:

  • Ninjas vs. Pirates
  • Smoke on the water
  • Silent, Wet, and Deadly
  • The 1000 Ninja War
  • Bamf-Arrr!

A ninja vs. pirates module ....

Hmmmmm .......

Paizo's first novely item of the GameMastery line.

Or um... Shuriken and Scurvy

A ninja clan has long had the criminal underworld in their grasp - part of this is controlling all shipments that come in, how they're distributed, price fixing, etc. When a fleet of pirates leaves their meager and highly competitive waters to raid richer and less fought over merchant trade lines - the two come into conflict.

Pirate - Ninja showdown!

If you write it, I'll DM it ...

I can envision lots of possibilities ...

Mike gets to write his own OGL ninja and pirate core classes, or tips on building those PCs from the OGL ....

...a flip-side adventure: one half devoted to a band of PC ninjas storming a pirate stronghold(s); and on the reverse, PC pirates take on ninjas on their home turf in a topiary garden, or something.

.... or a skirmish game module, where groups of PCs each take one side of the battle using some custom footmaps, ala Fantastic Locations

... or goodness, who knows what other pirate-ninja fun can be had?

*shows this thread to Jason*

Is that Jason the bloody chainsaw wielding madman of the slasher flicks ....

Or is it Jason, the fearless leader of the fleece-seeking Argonauts?

Or is it Jason, the kind-hearted chief of all things GameMastery?

Its probably the last one, but the others would make for an interesting tale, too.

Sure, you can read about the way of ninja but I find it better to get my info directly from the ninja's mouth. Still, thanks for the link (and the reminder of a classic site) and I look forward to killing you soon. ;)
