Question about getting a Pathfinder subscription...

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I was going to go ahead and set up my pathfinder subscription today, but I wanted to ask a question. Since the subscriptions are month to month, when can I expect my bank account to be billed for it? Specifically, when will the bill for the first issue come out of my account, and in general, when will it come out each month going forward? Thanks in advance for the help!!!

You get charged at the moment we ship your copy. There's no set date for each month, partly because Pathfinder comes on a boat from China, and has to go through US Customs, which is a process of variable length. However, we currently expect to ship Volume 1 during the first full week of August.

I believe that we expect to e-mail folks a week or so before we start shipping each volume, just so they know the charge is coming.

Many thanks. I added my Pathfinder subscription today and I couldn't be happier with the decision. I think you guys are gonna have a great product.

I had a semi-related question about the billing:

Will the price stay stable, or is there a chance we'll see another, "we packed more stuffsies into this edition so it's another $5 this month" deal? I was a little put out that this last Dragon was billed extra to my card without anyone asking first, despite the fact according to my account settings, my card isn't supposed to be kept on file (though of course it has to be now for Pathfinder).

All ongoing subscriptions are set up as a fixed discount from the cover price, so when the cover price goes up or down, the price you pay for that copy goes up or down. We're pretty clear that the offer for Pathfinder subs is "30% Off Cover Price," and ongoing month-to-month subs for Dragon and Dungeon were communicated similarly when they were available.

However, we do our best to communicate price changes before we charge cards, and, to that end, we sent an e-mail out last week letting month-to-month subscribers know about the increase for Dragon 359. (Check your spam filters?)

As for your credit card, the checkbox is labeled "Remember Payment Methods for Future Orders." Ongoing month-to-month subscriptions, which require that a credit card be on file, are spawned from a single past order, so they don't count as "future orders."

Liberty's Edge

kind of makes me wish I hadn't deleted all 800+ of my spam messages in one fell swoop when I returned from vacation.

In the scheme of things, I got the e-mail the same day (the 20th) I opened the Visa bill, but that's only because I only open my mail on one day a month (I think the best thing I've opened so far was the two week past-due bench warrant for the address behind me). I'm actually not in the least torqued about being charged more; just about not being asked first. ;)

I noticed that around January next year there are multiple Pathfinder releases in the same month, such as the Map Folio etc. Does this mean subscribers will automatically be billed for these supplements or will we have to order them separately? It would be nice to know if we will be billed 40 dollars or so ahead of time.

These things are optional, you will have to order them separately.
