Slush Pile Movement

Dungeon Magazine General Discussion

Just wanted to give everyone a FYI, it looks like WoTC is making progress on the Paizo slush pile. I received two emails regarding adventure proposals I sent in last fall, one was a rejection (oh well) and the other was request for a revised proposal.

Very cool Shroomy! Congrats on the "revise and resubmit!" Here's hoping it sees web-print! Good luck with it!

No word on any of my slush yet, but that's just fine...got a lot on my plate right now, what with moving to NYC and the FringeFestival and some more stuff for Paizo.

Still, I hope to hear back about a few of mine that I was particularly excited about.

Hey, my brother is a couple plays during the Fringe Fest. Isnt that the same weekend as GenCon?

And.

WAY TO GO SHROOMY! Get writing! You can do it!

Yep, The Fringe runs through Gencon! I dodged a bullet though and have no performances during the con! Whew! That was close. I was sweatin real hard on that one. What plays is your brother in Nomad? I'll look forward to seeing his work!

I'm in ANDREA / AGAVE for the record. My wife wrote and directed it too!

Pity I can't attend your play Nicholas (being I'm in a different country and all). I shall be crossing my fingers for WotC, but I'm not optimistic (though a couple of your's will surely get accepted since you are a D&D icon now ;-).

Go Shroomy!!!!

Ditto, except 1 e-mail and one request for a more detailed proposal that sounded pretty interested in my adventure.

Awesome, congrats Steve! I'll be looking forward to it when (not if) it sees print. :D

On a related note, anyone find it a little difficult to submit things to WotC, not knowing the format the "online thing" is going to take? I submitted an article query - but the guidelines are a little skimpy, and it kind of feels like I'm chucking a good idea into a black hole.

It just helps so much when you know exactly what you're submitting to, and you can structure your submission specifically for that.

Thanks Nick (and everyone else), I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Of course, the part WoTC wants revised is the main villain and her motivations, so I have to come up with something completely new!

The format is skimpy and I wouldn't count on it staying in its present set up for very long unless WotC just wants to print a bunch of combat encounters for the DI. Doesn't allow for much room to develop a compelling story and description of the adventure.

I'm betting it's an Eberron adventure!

(Okay Chris Thomasson announced that on WotC's boards)

Or is this something else?
