Is there a magic quiver out there in 3.5 that never runs out of arrows? One of the guys in my group swears there is, but I couldn't find it in the Magic Item Compendium. Any help would be appreciated.
I don't know about a quiver, but there is a 6th level spell in Dragon 321 (July 2004) called Rainbow that creates a +1 longbow and a quiver with an endless supply of 7 different arrows. It's at the end of an article on the plane of radiance.
It's not unreasonable that you could make a wonderous item with it.

There is an item in the BoVD, i think it is called the Quiver of Lies or something similar. It is worn on the wrist, and produces an arrow when the wearer speaks a lie.
I am pretty sure I've seen a quiver somewhere (can't remember where offhand, don't have my books at work) that produces unlimited mundane arrows, and a limited number of special material arrows (silver, cold iron, and adamantine) per day.

Ye olde Quiver of Anariel:
Quivers of Anariel appear to be typical arrow containers capable of holding a score of arrows. However, the quivers automatically replenish themselves with standard or magical arrows, such that they are always full. Some quivers also create arrows made of special materials, such as adamantine, cold iron, or alchemical silver.
Once an arrow it taken from the quiver, it must be used within 1 round or it vanishes.
Moderate conjuration; CL 7th; Craft Wondrous Item, magic weapon, minor creation; Price 28,000 gp (standard arrows), 29,000 gp (masterwork arrows), 32,000 gp (+1 arrows), 44,000 gp (+2 arrows), 64,000 gp (+3 arrows), 92,000 gp (+4 arrows), 128,000 gp (+5 arrows); Add an additional +6,000 gp for adamantine arrows, +4,005 gp for cold iron arrows, or +200 gp for alchemical silver arrows; Weight 1 lb.
I couldn't find any reference to this on wizards site, but its the Quiver Catti-brie or whatever her name is has in the Drizzt books.
Seems a bit pricey to me.

Ye olde Quiver of Anariel: ...
Where is the information found for this?
The quivers that I found are --
Quiver of Lies (Book of Vile Darkness)
Quiver of the North Wind (Dragon 334)
Quiver of Energy (Complete Psionic or Magic Item Compendium)
Quiver of Etherealness (Complete Psionic)
Quiver of Plenty (Dragon 328)
Quiver of Ehlonna (DMG)
Curious if there are any others out there.

I found it on a random search on google from a posting on an EnWorld Message board that referenced a WotC web page that is no longer available regarding the stats of the characters from The Lone Drow.
here to be exact. The stats, like I said, were apparently taken from a WotC page that described Cattie-Brie's equipement. I can find Drizzt's stats on their site, but not Cattie-Brie's

I remember a 2e version, likely the one in question from the original post, that required an arrow of the type to be reproduced always be in the quiver. It would then reproduce an arrow. I don't have access to my 2e stuff, but I'm sure it's similar to the quoted magic item.

Thanks Keno and carborundum for the links and information. Now I just have to figure out how to include it in my master lists of (relatively useless) information.

Our group has been playing the same home brew for about ten years now, and our characters have gotten pretty beefy. Recently, the DM has been discussing with us the idea of high powered enemies, and assassins. Is there perhaps a magical item in existence that detects enemies? I've done some research but can't seem to find anything that fits the bill, particularly for a Wizard. Thank you in advance for any help.
