Got my case of Night Below minis yesterday - split between myself and a friend. All in all, we got some pretty good stuff: All the Large Dragons, The Flesh Golem, Raistlin Majere, the Noble Salamander, among other things. And we only got four of those idiotic Bluespawn things. Not really a bad hall, and I've got some stuff to either sell off or trade.
Oh yeah - The Philadelphia concert by The Police is only 9 days away!

I'm jealous as can be. My group and I buy 2 cases per set and I never get the dragons no matter what. This time, I got 1! Out of 24 packs!
I did get a good spread though. The only figures we didn't get this time are (in order that I would like to have them): White Dragon, Orc Banebreak Rider, Shadow Dragon, Skeletal Courser, Exarch of Tyranny, and the awful looking mini of Wulfgar.
Though I haven't counted recently and we do have a few hundred other minis as well, it appears we have about 900 DDM. Wow.
GTs:
1. Nice Red Hand of Doom session last night with possibly another this Thursday.
2. Feel like I might actually bowl well tonight

1. Got the 4year old a "hamspirt" (hamster) today, her guinea pig was killed by a random dog so she wanted something new. Not even a teardrop. All we hear is "Mom, Dad he is going up his tubes or he is running on his wheel.
2. Have another "newbie" playing in one of the threads I am in. Makes me feel less like a dork for asking stupid questions.
3. Have a nice surprise for the hubby but can't say what since he reads this.( tell you when he knows)
4. Took a moment today to stop and realize just how beautiful it is here in Bozeman, MT

1. The fact that when I am having a "woe is me and all is bad" night I can read about good things happening to others and also fun snarkiness by entertaining paizonians (Sebastian anyone? ;)
2. that this item has done relatively well so far
3. Confirmed for another RHoD sesson tomorrow night--it's dragon fighting time for the PCs <insert evil DM laugh hear>
4. Leaving "Beyond the Law", a very bad Charlie Sheen movie from the mid-nineties on in the background for amusement.

Hey now, there's nothing wrong with being a dork, I have learned to accept my dorkiness and even revel in it. The friends we have on these boards understand and love us anyway. So say it loud sister! I'm a dork and proud of it!
(I'm sorry, was that too, um, dorky?)

3 more games of 3-5 year old soccer...
Nolonger do i have to be the parent on the sideline watching their kid play in the dirt during a drive...
Be careful with that, I couldn't stand being the parent on the sideline either during my eldest son's baseball games. Ended up coaching little league and umpiring.

Not an issue, I have enough self control to keep myself out of situations where I might want to backhand other peoples kids... Um, nor do I backhand my own kids...
I have started helping the team warm up, but I consider it the coaches job to deal with him during the game. I only 'help' when she has to put him on the sideline for a while...

OK. In light of all the other good things, this may seem petty... but there you have it.
Yesterday, after seven years of dealing with his whining, complaining, back-biting, self-aggrandizing, self-important crap, not to mention being the "cancer" in the office, the lead paralegal in my firm resigned.
It's always nice to have someone who gets paid almost as much as I do, who resents my law degree, and wants to argue about my every decision. Especially when, in the eyes of the boss, he can do NO wrong.
Wonder who he had pictures of?!?
Anyway...despite the turmoil of trying to hire and train a new paralegal, it's a very GOOD THING that he's leaving. Everyone in the firm agrees we'll all be happier. I've even heard comments of reliefs from OTHER firms that he deals with on a regular basis.
Think I may need to throw a party.

That certainly is not petty. It takes a huge load off your shoulders, gives you a reason to breath a nice sigh of relief, aaaand, makes forty hours of your week more enjoyable for you. That's a pretty big deal.

1. My first batch of home made hummus
2. Plain yogurt with dill
3. Home made falafel
4. Organic black grapes and cherriesAll of these wonderful things came together for one of the best lunches ever.
Yummy! I'm jealous!
My good thing of the day: My sweetie decided to pop into the DM Tools chat room.

I had a wonderful day. My mother-in-law took me "school clothes shopping" I felt like a little kid. She decided that I needed new clothes for college. (she hates the holes in my knees, but hey, the horses don't care) We had lunch and got hubby some birthday presents. All in all a good day.
Yea I want to go "school" shopping. I guess I would have to go to school again though. Aren't holes in the knees back in anyhow? I have them in the inner thigh of my pants from barb wire fences. ( I have short legs and the fences always seem to be tall)
Glad you had a good day.
Took the kids to the Museum today and looked at all the dinosaurs and Egyptian stuff. They had fun, I was grateful for AC.

It's not us, the fences are too tall :)

I couldn't agree more about the fences!
It's the Museum of the Rockies here in Bozeman, MT it is where Jack Horner does alot of his work and currently on display is The tomb of King Tut. It has a exact replica of him as well as furniture and jewelry. It was great to go and see but I didn't get to send much time with the Egyptian display as it is hard to read all the descriptions when the 4 year old wants to go and see the dinosaurs and the 1 year old wants out of the stroller. It will take a few more trips before I get to see it all. Good thing we are members.

I just spent three weeks studying existentialism via the CTY summer program. It sounds sucky and overly-nerdy, but it was really fun and cool, I promise! Hooray!
I studied French Existentialism in college. Probably one of the most challenging humanities courses in school, mostly because the material is worded so particularly (Being and Nothingness, I'm looking at you) and because our professor actually expected us to learn it, rather than just saying "Oh, art students. I don't expect much." Made it really rewarding to get that A and be able to have further proof that I ROCK at existence!
