Converting Dungeon Adventures to D20 Modern

Dungeon Magazine General Discussion

I was wondering if anyone out there has had any success converting Dungeon adventures to either D20 Modern, or D20 Future. If so which ones did you convert and what did you do?

I've tried, but it's way to much work. You pretty much have to rewrite the whole adventure. You might as well star from scratch and write your own.

If I could find a decent program for making d20 modern and future characters it would be easier. The maps would still work, since I don't normally show the PCs the really cool maps anyway, instead I draw them out on the battlemat. I can easily describe a fantasy map for mdern or future, but the characters are a pain. It would be better if they were actually compatable.
Probably 4th Edition will go the way of Modern, so it may be easier then.

At the moment the adventures that I am looking to convert to modern/future adventures are:

Shut In (everyone agrees that this is a great adventure and I think it is very setting neutral just replace the magic items with technology.)
Murder in Oakbridge
The airship down adventure
The adventure on the lightning rail.
(Sorry I can't remember their names)

If I was a glutton for punishment I would look to see how the convert one of the adventure paths to a sci fi adventure. It really seems to me that the Eberron adventures with the pulp flare would be pretty easy to convert to D20 Modern.
